I rely on YouTube for information, both current events and science related research. I’m jealous of the access to info that kids today have, and that I could have made better life decisions had I had these opportunities when I was a kid. But I avoid the social side of social media. I’d like to see more protection against the evils but without losing the positives.

It seems odd to me that you don’t suggest fixing social media instead of hiding from them.
While we are talking about parenting, could we have some honest reporting on the stock pile of evidence found in the home of the Nashville shooter. The transgender woman had a considerable number of writings, drawings, and other written material showing that this shooting at the Christian school it was a well planned event. We know that this transgender woman was being treated for emotional disorders. In light of this fact, wouldn’t you think that the parents might want to keep a better eye on her since she was living in their home? Apparently, this is a failure of parenting.
