@MrTheclevercat that’s up to everyone’s personal choice. Anyone, anywhere in this country, can better themselves and make something of their lives if they choose to do so and are steadfast when circumstances don’t go their way. …before we all just to the obvious conclusion let them investigate since there are hundreds of old cemeteries all over Canada that are now “unmarked”…. Sounds like this at one time was a cemetery with headstones…. just saying because we can’t feed the flames with speculation.

There will be more. My great grandmother often tried to hide her heritage. It is really hard to trace ancestry for many due to unfair circumstances , especially if the children were adopted out. This is heartbreaking for the Aboriginal community.
