  1. Only a fool would be fooled by these, but of course there are a frightening number of fools in the world. But imagine what we’ll be able to do in a couple of decades or so…

    1. My friend in India is working on AI. I have no idea who he’s working for but he sends me AI and I always catch him. Then he becomes his real person and we talk as friends.

    2. There’s AI generated photos and sound that almost is 100% indistinguishable from the original person it’s trying to copy. You don’t have to be a “fool” to get duped by it. Any person who’s inexperienced with the media or with the internet can fall for it. Even if you know how exploited AI is becoming, there’s a risk that you also may be duped at some point.

  2. Lol i think the use of these avatars are much more prolific than many are aware. Example- on facebook and youtube you see many different medicare and senior focused adds and if it is not an Ausie or British accent in the naration, it will be a deadpan dialouge with no inflection in the delivery of that dialouge

    1. @Jordan Pollard exactly right. My comment was just an oral observation because i have not seen any avatars

    1. Disturbing! “We’re still here … We are not going anywhere.” – Native Americans 😔

Native Americans: Our Native American population in our motherland, Continent of America before the European Colonizers arrived, was around 15 millions, while European population in their motherland, Continent of Europe was around 25 millions.
Today, Native American population is 15 million, while the European population, in the Continents of America + Europe, is a staggering ‘TWO BILLIONS’! A shockingly sad truth. 😔
China: It’s about time to decolonize the Colonized lands, and return it to rightful owners Native American people.
Remember, notorious global cardinal crimes the West has committed, and benefited a great deals, such as Slavery & Colonialism had long been over, why on earth is notorious Colonization still lingering on? 😔
Native Americans: We’re still here. We are not going anywhere. 😔

    1. What if an ai could generate comments on youtube masquerading as a human. Yikes! This is the year 2023, did you really think nobody would notice that the technology shown in this video is decades old?

    2. @bluesky People often have unusual contexts based on personal experience that would be difficult to to replicate with modern AI techniques.

    3. @Michael Moy imagine a future where when you turn on your smart device, an AI generated news anchors that match our preferred aesthetics is only reporting the version of the news you want to hear. Everyone will constantly live in an echo chamber where the truth is distorted based on demographics and big data analytics. Good old fashion reporting should never be usurped by AI.

  3. I guess it’s so that you don’t need to pay someone who knows how to mimic a local accent and who has a particular appearance. Makes propaganda casting much cheaper.

  4. This has been happening in many countries and hence maybe worldwide !
Smaller centralized markets and countries are the cheapest and easiest to manipulate !

  5. Many of us are wondering, how could anyone believe AI content and not see how fake it is, trust me, there are literally billions of unaware people who will buy it because for them emotions win over common sense.

    1. Nah theyre just dumb due to America defunding of education for 3 generations now. Theres not even half a billion people in America doof.

    2. Just reading some of the comments about how improvements will remove any doubts from people.

People these days will believe all sorts of misinformation, lies, scams, you name it from real, actual human beings, what hope against a slick criminal with these tools. People get scammed all the time, AI will only speed it up and boost the numbers.

    3. Repent. Believe in Jesus Christ. John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Matthew 4:17 KJV From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
John 3:3 KJV – “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

    4. @tafdizGovt technology is always 10 years ahead of what they say it is publicly. It’s already unrecognizable…

  6. It’s going to be real important for mankind to demonstrate integrity in meaning when speaking eh. The best way to figure out the difference.

  7. That goes to the bigger problem. Anyone with an ounce of natural empathy knows those arent people, but people who don’t really have it just see a face and thats all they need.

  8. These deep fakes are similar to the ones used in adverts on YouTube. They are difficult to watch & cause headaches. It’s easy to understand why they “didn’t gain traction”.

  9. I lost it at 2:21 THIS IS SO CRAZY!!! The whole point of this video was to tell you that you should be concerned about this technology, but here is a woman explaining JUST HOW ONE COULD DO IT!!!! I mean they are all in on it!!!

  10. Theyre about as charismatic and humanlike as a real Chinese newscaster too. They basically figured out how to implant a Chinese personality into a western looking person.

  11. I remember seeing a very disturbing film from 1981 about AI generated actors, that seems to mirror what’s happening in real life, here. It was called “Looker”. I had never seen a film like it before or since. Maybe there was a reason.
If you can find it, check it out.

    1. I just watched clip of that movie on YouTube. It’s scary.
That line…. hi I’m Cindy ( might be sis of Megan robot 🤣)

  12. “We have identified and banned the user in question.”
The user in question responded by creating a different account.

  13. I can obviously tell they’re AI by looking at them and hearing how they speak… good thing I’ve played video games all my life. I can tell a Computer generated face from a real one. But I could see how some wouldn’t recognize, especially elderly people.

  14. There are other alternatives like Typecast AI. I think it is inevitable to use such technology so we should think about how to use it for better purpose.
