Thousands of JFK assassination documents released by National Archives

The National Archives released thousands of previously classified documents collected as part of the government review into the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The cache of over 13,000 documents is the second of two JFK assassination-related document dumps that President Joe Biden ordered last year when the White House postponed a public release because of the Covid-19 pandemic. CNN's Tom Foreman reports.

    1. @John Cooper hell of a rifleman that Oswald.
Visit the Plaza and the Building, get a personal sense of the complexity of the shots, plural on purpose. The rifle was a $12 mail order of low quality .
Oswald was a radar operator while in service, very little experience with firearms actually.

    2. @Lawn Chair Oswald shot hundreds of rounds in the service and qualified at the 4th of a possible 5 levels.
His rifle ,with its powerful scope ,could be aimed and fired at one round per second as demonstrated on a video on my Oswald playlist.

  1. John F Kennedy once said, The ignorance of voters in a democracy is a clear and present danger to all of us including our national security. āš”
    In loving memory of JFK

    1. @Jeffrey are you saying love thy neighbor as yourself has no credibility or to love your wife as you love yourself or a wife to love her husband is not to be listened to? Are you here giving a thumbs down to evolution?

  2. Combine the fact that Kennedy rejected Operation Northwoods with the fact that something like the Business Plot of 1933 was real and I think you have an explanation. Military Industrial Complex didnā€™t like that Kennedy wouldnā€™t go to war. President Johnson would then start steering us into Vietnam during 1963-1964.

    1. Read the book Rethinking Camelot by Noam Chomsky. Kennedy was not at all a foe to the MIC nor was he planning to exit Vietnam until the war was won

    2. Kennedy sent in unarmed advisors. Then, when some of them were killed, started arming the advisors. That was the start of US military involvement in Vietnam. Pretending JFK was against war is a disgusting lie.

    3. Great summary. Here are a few more little tidbits:

Prescott Bush was involved in The Business Plot to overthrow FDR in a fascist coup. In an FBI document, a ‘George Bush of the CIA’ furnished information about the JFK assassination since he was in Dallas on the day. It seemed to be a cover story about some Cubans involvement to direct blame. George HW Bush claimed it was another George Bush. šŸ˜‚

Then his son, George W Bush, was president for 9/11 which was eerily similar to Operation Northwoods. šŸ¤”

    4. @A. Champagne Actually, JFK was pulling out of the Vietnam war and approved National Security Action Memorandum 263 (NSAM 263) on October 11th 1963 to withdraw 1000 troops. McNamara confirmed this in his memoir.

JFK was planning to pull the rest out later. After the assassination, a new NSAM was written to drastically increase the war.

    5. @Bad Man Skill McNamara was one of the architects as was Richard Holbrooke. I would take his polish of JFK’s legacy with a grain of salt.

  3. It was obvious that JFK was hit from two directions shown in the Zagruder film!! My father said and I will never forget it”he was shoot from two directions”and my father would know because he was in war!!!

    1. @jamie hovis LOL, you sound Iike my high school counselor. And it’s called generalizing, I could cite endless examples of the lies our servants have tried to feed us, and the fact you came back with “not once” is telling. For every example you can give of the government telling the truth, I’ll give you 5 outright blatant lies!

    2. @Mark Warren Yeah you are a conspiracy nut-case. You think the government lies when they review medications for safety? Or investigate crime scenes? Itā€™s more accurate to say politicians lie, but if you understood anything about government, you would know that there are often consequences for lying. Then again I take it you arenā€™t someone that would study anything before forming opinion, you seem like one of those people that just confidently believes in your opinion.

  4. This joker will be the first one to agree that, he knew there was a conspiracy, if in the future we, the conspiracy theorists, find out that, indeed, Oswald wasn’t alone…

  5. When I saw the film it looked like the male sitting in the front passenger seat did it. Turned around before the shot. Aimed up from the middle of the front seats.

  6. A founding lawyer of Harvard Law School had 600 straight cases won, 0 lost. He had the ability to screen written and verbal testimony to discover the truth. He dead….now… But I wonder what he would see of all the casework.

  7. All conspiracies are debunked in Vincent Bugliosi’s book Reclaiming History. The Kennedy as peacenik myth is debunked in Noam Chomsky’s book Rethinking Camelot.

    1. He was in on it. Dude was a psychopathic maniac and supposedly JFK was going to drop him off the 1964 ticket.

  8. I was a teenager when he was killed. A great president and war hero. He was loved by most Americans. But sadly, the Democrat party is no longer the party of JFK. No longer the party my deceased hard-working parents voted for.

  9. “..AT TIMES at home..”,šŸ™„ . It’s completely illegal to report on domestic CIA activity, there’s no way they don’t know that .
