These are the people running your country America, what a sad situation.
Yeah. We know. It’s why 45 lost & Dems got the Senate back. It’s why many states that have been “red” for decades, elected Democratic governors & legislators in 2018. It’s why we’ve had the biggest protests in US history, which inspired protests for women’s & racial minorities’ rights, worldwide. With that, came civil unrest, increased far right domestic terror & hate crimes. We have dramatically shifted left on many social issues. As usual, it triggered a backlash from our shrinking, but extreme, right- wing minority. It’s not just the US, though. Most Western democracies are dealing with some degree of increased nationalist or autocratic movements.

@Caleb Fowler The same one killed a deputy in Santa Cruz county. He injured others with an IED. He was armed, but the second guy he tried to carjack, tackled him as he handed over his keys. Neighbors helped hold him, until cops arrived. The guy wouldn’t let the press release his name, afterward, but I hope he got some sort of recognition from law enforcement.

@Richie Tattersall I recently found out, an ally categorizing groups that way, to enables them to share intel with some of our agencies that aren’t supposed to surveil US citizens. Then, those agencies can pass it to the FBI. I think the requirements in Canada are that it has to involve finances, which is how many US white supremacist groups have been taken down by the FBI. Interstate organizing makes it the FBI’s jurisdiction & financial dealings, bring federal anti-organized crime laws into play.
