Anthony Garcia no, no that didn’t happen. Trump called the virus a democratic hoax. When the senate intelligence gave a briefing on the virus, they said everything was fine and we wouldn’t have an outbreak, and then senators Loeffler and Burr sold off stock to go towards companies like DuPont that would thrive when the outbreak began. Also, the reports I’ve read have said the epicenters of the virus outbreak in America did not come from China, they came from Italy, and the prevailing doctrine in February was that the virus wasn’t a problem. She said that you should go because Chinatown itself wasn’t a higher risk than anywhere else (it wasn’t, people weren’t coming and going from China at that point much at all, Chinatown is just where a lot of people of Chinese descent are). I don’t think that was a good idea, but given that outbreaks hadn’t yet begun and there was no legitimate reason to avoid Chinatown at that juncture I think it wasn’t harmful either.
I’ve read tons of stuff from both sides, and agree we should analyze stuff from both sides, but that’s not what you’re doing. Trump has taken the wrong position at every turn when it comes to this virus, and it could cost over a million American lives once it’s done and dusted because of his incompetence and the incompetence of the leaders he himself has appointed
