  1. That line in Tom Sawyer where Huck Finn was saved til Tuesday 😂

    • I thought that was “I’ll gladly pay you on Tuesday” whimmpy wanting a burger on Popeye the sailed man! Whoot whoot

Gotta love Jon Meacham. A true scholar who’s got all those granular details of American history memorized.

  2. The last 4 years….. crickets!

  3. Boehner brought us the tea party which is the GQP now, so it’s a little too late.

  4. Finally someone who is not scared of the narcissist bully demanding control

  5. *This story never gets old… just like Gaetz’s girlfriend’s!*

  6. Always After these guys leave power, never when they’re in it. Pure moral cowardice to wait until they’d stepped safely into a lifeboat.

  7. Didn’t Boehner “invent” the Tea Party? Hard to stomach – cashing in like the rest, too little, too late.
    Tell it Claire!!!!!

Nope, in fact they didn’t like Boehner very much & wanted to fire him because he opposed some of their more out-there policy goals. The Tea Party was actually started by big oil & big tobacco in a huge campaign that started way before it became widely known in the mainstream or outside their tight political arenas. A search for Boehner and tea party will show you tons of articles.

He also made a large investment in cannabis. Something he’s been against all his life.

    • @Michael Martinez and that suit comes with a white pointy hat

    • Huh… I thought Donald Trump started the teabagger movement… wasn’t it tied to the whole birther movement

Sorry I can’t keep track of lunacy

No he did not invent the Tea Party. In fact they were a major reason he left the House.

    Regarding the insurrectionists.
Tucker Carlson said “they weren’t violent, they didn’t even have guns.”
I guess Tucker accidentally admitted guns make people more dangerous.

    • claudermiller | April 8, 2021 at 3:16 PM | Reply

He said what he said. They would have been dangerous if they had guns. If guns don’t make people dangerous we need to stop letting cops use the excuse they thought they were reaching for a gun as an excuse.

    • Belly Dancer Em | April 8, 2021 at 4:51 PM | Reply

and here come the crazy gun nuts coming out to deny that statement

    • claudermiller | April 8, 2021 at 5:52 PM | Reply

@Belly Dancer Em of course. That’s all they ever do.

    • @CasinoVa Beach I find it amusing you quote all the right wing talking points, spin speak, and propaganda yet look down your nose and call Democrats “sheeple.” “Before you point out the mote in your neighbor’s eye, remove the beam from your own.”

    • Alfred Nueman | April 8, 2021 at 7:20 PM | Reply

@@Mark B – The Republicans are the sheeple. They can’t think for themselves. They let Fox News, Donald Trump and all the other wacko so-called Republicans think for them. I know because I just described my sister to a T. She has a masters degree but is dumber than a rock.

  9. I’ll be impressed when Trump actually pays for his many crimes.

@J D only thing I’m embarrassed about is that I share the world with idiots like yourself.

    • william ballato | April 8, 2021 at 2:15 PM | Reply

      @T waaaaaaaaaaa.

Hows that list, dickhead?. If you could read and comprehend, youd note that you started with the personal attacks. I couldn’t cate less how you attack me but sorry that your tender feelings are hurt. Poor little liberal.

    • @william ballato nothing to refute because everything I said was true. Seriously how are you not embarrassed? Your God held back stimulus check to make sure his name was on them. Wtf. How are you guys this easily manipulated? The man literally said “I can shoot someone on 5th and not lose a single voter” “I love the uneducated”

You have to be the product of incest to think the way you do 🤷🏽‍♂️

    • I'm just some Canadian guy, and I say | April 8, 2021 at 7:31 PM | Reply

@J D Its useless arguing with the alt-right, they’re still stuck in a cult. Guy sounds like a broken record asking for a list yet doesn’t realize refusal of release of tax returns and only paying less than 1000 bucks when you’re a loaded millionaire is illegal. Still, people like this William guy obviously support fascism and a party that has a guy (who supports Trump) who diddles underage girls. He is on the losing side, and he cannot stand that his beloved failed dictator lost a fair election. Hey William, you can simp for racism and your orange god, doesn’t change the fact you lost and you’re a loser yourself. Grab a tissue

    • @I’m just some Canadian guy, and I say 100%. The scary thing is that they truly believe Trump is a God or sent by God.

Would God call other countries shitholes?

These are the same racist that said Obamas birth certificate was fake for EIGHT YEARS! Why know what the real issue was…

I have no idea what we’re going to do now that it’s apparent so many are mentally ill like this guy. You feed them facts and they just yell Trump 20something. Ridiculous

Boehner on birthers: ‘It’s not my job to tell the American people what to think’

I have mixed feelings about this one. If you want to get the party back there is only one option.

  12. Boehner: Trump incited the bloody insurrection
Anyone with a brain: no kidding

@Belly Dancer Em See even I can agree with that…..look at that you agree with a conservative;)

    • Damen Rabbitt | April 8, 2021 at 7:45 PM | Reply

@Belly Dancer Em Although Tulsi Gabbert from Hawaii I think, should have been the frontrunner for the Democrats in 2020 not Potato Joe

    • Belly Dancer Em | April 8, 2021 at 7:49 PM | Reply

@Damen Rabbitt Gabbard sucks. It should have been Sanders or Warren

    • Belly Dancer Em | April 8, 2021 at 7:50 PM | Reply

@Damen Rabbitt it wouldn’t be the first time 🙂

    • Damen Rabbitt | April 8, 2021 at 8:02 PM | Reply

@Belly Dancer Em I would pick Sanders over Warren anyday lol. You have to admit Gabbert was the most Moderate between all of them. She would be doing a better job atm rather than Unity Joe.

“I knew these were people who love this country, that truly respect law enforcement, would never do anything to break the law.” Sen. R-Wi Ron Johnson This is how completely dishonest, disconnected the GOP has become!

  14. Kevin Loignon | April 8, 2021 at 9:28 AM | Reply

John Boehner allowed the wack jobs in back in 2010 when he embraced the tea baggers. He thought he could control them… wrong!

Where were you when all this was happening? Silence is still enabling.

    • Michael Sinclair | April 8, 2021 at 6:02 PM | Reply

Why do you think he retired early from Congress? He knew what was going to happen. I’d resigning is no form of silence in my opinion. To me that was a warning.
