@PerryMason420 A hostile takeover occurs when an acquiring company attempts to take over a target company against the wishes of the target company’s management. An acquiring company can achieve a hostile takeover by going directly to the target company’s shareholders or fighting to replace its management.
The fact the board agreed to it makes what Musk did not a hostile takeover.
Elon’s move was super tactical. With Q1 profits coming out the board was in a position they couldn’t turn down the offer- Twitters profits were low and cratering. He literally made an offer they couldn’t refuse

@SmoothLegend This might sound harsh, but the reality is that not a single democrat or the ones who vote for them have a proper moral compass. Give how these social interaction based tech companies like to support them, they are pretty much for sure in that group as well. For many in this group, they are professing the truth and defending it against lies and bigotry. Issue is that to explain why their moral core is absolutely bankrupt is a complex discussion and none of them are remotely interested because they think they are right. So the way I see it, perhaps what we do need is a single overlord. There is a better chance of finding one good man than a whole lot of them in the times we live in.

He has said that there will be a place for free speech, WITHIN the confines of the law. Unlike these host, he does understand that you still cannot threaten harm, or say things that will cause harm either physically, nor emotionally.
If Elon releases all documents on what was limited and trashed, it will be epic and restore some faith in social media. Go Elon 🙌

I don’t think they can go to prison for not selling a company. They would just be kicked off the board and lose the money they are being paid to sit on the board as will as the prestige of being on the board.

This assertion by CNN and other networks that Elon will just let everybody do or say what they want on Twitter is actually pretty ridiculous. I think at best you will see the site’s defacto role as a publisher somewhat diminished.

Its interesting to imagine what changes he and his teams have been imagining 🤔.
Will the first change be some type of new super algorithmic data collecting processor(s) that possibly detects misinformation?
It seems he usually starts off with basic problem solving methods, but that type of solution appears the T&E phase could go on for some time before being effective. 🤔
