Even though these are western jet fighters, we must remember the Ukraine has high level engineering and technology capability. They are old hands at designing and producing high tech aircraft for the Soviet Union. So learning how to maintain and support F16 Fighters should be easily within their skill set!

The defense against a missile attack was a retaliation attack. The Patriot was intended to be used against obsolete one off weapons from low technology rogue states, not a peer adversary like China or Russia that can swamp missile defenses with mass attacks. The missiles in a swarm can and will get through . Even a few hits are devastatingly painful. Good Luck trying to stop 100% of the missiles. Russia is not Iraq,

Makes more sense to supply Ukraine with MIG’s “right now” probably from Poland who has them re supply Poland with F16’s as replacement, then Ukrainian training on F-16’s can take place while they continue to defend with MIG’s

I think procurement problems is a matter of internal issues. What west needs to focus is weapons system to defeat Russia in Ukraine.

Give the Ukraine Armed Forces the CIWS weapons system for shooting down the Iranian drones.
Could the West assist Ukraine to build power grids underground to avoid or protect them from Ruskie missile and drone attacks. 71 cruise missles at a cost of about 6.5 million dollars each. Russia basically spent 461 million dollars to shoot 10 missles. What a disaster.
