Ukrainian forces are inching closer to Russian-controlled territory. See what the front line is like

Russian state media report the situation in the Kherson region of Ukraine is stabilizing, with less frequent artillery fire and no counterattacks from Ukrainian forces. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the Russians will be besieged if they stay in the Kherson region. CNN's Frederik Pleitgen visits the front line to get a first-hand look.

  1. Slava Ukraine! Much respect, support and love from Scotland! 🇺🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌻🌻🌻

    1. @Васильченко Володимир same here. Grateful for the help Ukrainians get from all the allies in our fight for existence and freedom. Just wish Russians would recognise they don’t own Europe:(

    2. @HM No, the slogan was created by Ukrainians *defending their country from invasion by the Soviets* . When the Russian Empire fell, Ukraine declared their independence, and the Soviets invaded and FORCED them into the USSR.

Bandera is boogeyman Russian trolls like you use to justify their baseless aggression. *The are more nazis in Russia than Ukraine* . Russia’s Wagner company is more of a neo-nazi organization than the Azov is.

  2. At least the world knows that Russia is not as powerful as everyone thought. Just because you have nukes, that doesn’t make you a superpower. And besides, lots of Russian soldiers had to buy their own gear. They looked like they were ready for skiing and not war. Sad.

    1. Russia could turn the entire Ukraine into dust in 4 or 5 days, without nukes. This is just a little “police action” to them. Russia is a super power twice as big as the 48 contiguous US states. The Ukraine is a ratty little 3rd world country that is smaller than Texas. Think before you repeat the brainless lies from mainstream media.

  3. The mirroring image is what 4 year olds do when they acuse someone else of doing something which they themselves have done. Similar to “I know you are, but what am I?”

    1. To a woman who has spent her life observing and being around children ,I have realised that many adults are stuck at a certain age /stage of development …and I agree with you …narcissism of childhood ,cannot differentiate between themselves and others and scream blue murder when they don’t get their way …” .it wasn’t me ,it was dolly who did it ” anti gay is a characteristic of overly masculine cultures ….in one word this 3 hr rant is immature

    2. @Ananamu so true. All I heard from that pitiful rambling was ‘whinge pot Pootin’ sooking his little bald head off.
      Ridiculous and beyond pathetic

    3. @Magnusfication Yea like when Biden just LIED to everyone saying gas prices were over 5 dollars a gallon when he took office? LOL Everyone living in the US knows we were paying under 2 dollars a gallon during Trumps entire 4 year term. It skyrocketed to 5 dollars after Biden took office..Biden lowered prices a tad for the midterms but everyone knows it will skyrocket as soon as midterms are over. Also the fact that we are running out of diesel fuel is going to halt Trucking and we’re going to have supply chain problems again with extreme inflation to follow. Let’s go Brandon

    4. @Joe Mendyk nope. Just found it off to talk about American political parties when it’s a video about a war in Ukraine. Fyi you’re the offended and triggered one. You chiming randomly in a conversation you weren’t in is proof of this

    5. Arguing on the internet is like being in the special olympics, even if you win, you are still “special”

  4. We thought the Russian army is 2nd strongest in the world, now we know they are 2nd strongest in Ukraine. Slava Ukraine
    🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

  5. “The incompetence of the Russian officers, which is only equalled by their vanity and impatience of any foreign advice, has resulted in squandering both men and material in premature and ill-considered enterprises, so that practically nothing remains for future use.”
-Field Marshal Wilson’s report on the Russian civil war to the British War Cabinet, July 1919.

    Fast forward to 2022 …

    1. @zally zally So eight months into a war that Russia is losing, you are proud about having murdered hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian civilians with rocket attacks on hospitals, schools, children’s shelters and apartment buildings?

You should thank your lucky stars that Ukraine is too civilized to respond in kind on the Russian civilian population.

As for Russia’s “economic power,” Russian GDP is one thirtieth that of the nations that are supporting Ukraine. Russia has some hydrocarbons and gold. That’s all.

    2. @Israel Wilson Russia are not losing anything in fact they gaining more than they expected …they gain economic influence and more effective allies 😂😂

    3. @CLUELESS JOE And yet more boiler-plate Russian propaganda. With the war going so badly, you guys are really stepping up the BS, aren’t you.
The bracelet means nothing. The symbols have nothing to do with ‘nazis’. Many of the Kyivan Rus are descended from Scandinavians. Not even remotely strange for him to wear it.

And you’re just picking battalions popular on social media and trying to falsely claim they’re Nazis. They’re not the ‘main units’.

The Azov is the only one with real ties to neo-nazis, and even they didn’t hold a majority(and their numbers are dropping).

Russian ambition and greed is the basis of this war. Everything else is just a distraction fed to you by whoever is holding your leash. You’re either a Russian troll, or a useful idiot for their message. Clown.🤡

    4. For best example of incompetence of army officer we do not have to go as far July 1919, a year 2021 the “withdraw of US forces from Afghanistan is great example

  6. A Tribute to Ukraine

    The Fight

    Where were you
when the walls came crumbling down.
    Fearing for our lives
    In our home towns.

    Where children once played
    Laughter was everywhere
    We now find graves
    Seems like only…we care.

    But now,
    We’re standing side by side
    Defending arm in arm
    Praying for our lives.

    And now,
    We’re standing toe to toe
    Fighting hand to hand
    Dying for our nation’s soul.

    Instrumental 🎶

    If we lose.
If this was our last fight.
    I promise you
    We didn’t run and hide.

    Only one way to live
Head high and full of pride
    What we would give
Our blood and tears we cried.

    But now,
    We’re standing side by side
    Defending arm in arm
    Praying for our lives.

    And now,
    We’re standing toe to toe
    Fighting hand to hand
    Dying for our nation’s soul.

    Instrumental 🎶

    A burst of lightning
    coming from the morning sky
    confuses all
We will not run and hide.

    But now,
    We’re standing side by side
    Defending arm in arm
    Praying for our lives.

    And now,
    We’re standing toe to toe
    Fighting hand to hand
    Dying for our nation’s…..

    And then,
    There’s one thing that remains.
    Fight until the death
    Fight for our Ukraine.

    But now,
    Our prayers were not met
    By those who stood by
By those who would forget. .

    1. On October 28, 1944, the liberation of the territory of the Ukrainian SSR from the Nazi invaders was completed.

Hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers laid down their lives for the future of this land. Among them were representatives of different nationalities, but they all had one homeland.

The liberators of Ukraine, even in a nightmare, could not imagine that the poisonous seedlings of Nazism would sprout in the cities and villages they had liberated. That fans of Hitler and Bandera will become, including the descendants of those who broke the back of the fascist beast. That those for whom they fought will demolish monuments to our heroes, torture and kill civilians, imitating their vile idols.

Now it’s our turn to burn out the Nazi plague with a red-hot iron. And the best guarantee that it will never again crawl out of its rotten caches and will not again strike minds and souls is the liquidation of Ukrainian statehood, which gave rise to Nazism. This will be a new day of liberation for the millions of people who today are held hostage by a terrorist state.

    2. @Т – И – З thank you so much for reading humble poem and thank you for history lesson. Interesting perspective and often people find answers in Hidden Graves.

    3. @Humble Driver in the West they believe that Hitler was defeated by the United States) it’s ridiculous for Russians – the Americans were sponsors of Nazism in Germany, as they are now in Ukraine – and joined when the USSR began the assault on Germany – all the Nazis defected to the Americans) therefore the United States supports the Nazis in Ukraine and the Nazis in NATO)

  7. Hats off to the resilient Ukrainian fighters..
    Outstanding morale & highly motivated…
Fighting so bravely & tirelessly against all odds to defend their beloved motherland..
    Slava Ukraini..
    Stay strong Ukraine..

    3. @Edgar Friendly they are already setting up excuses for the election. When Bill Gates says civil war starts the day after the next election you know they bought more dominion machines this time.

    1. @Will Tell All I am fine with the Azov Battalion, they are not the Nazis…we all know the Russians are the Nazis…you have given 1000 examples of it….russia = evil

    2. Anyone can be resilient while hiding behind civilians like they did so heroically in Mariupol!
      Very brave indeed!

  8. As an Indian,I fully support the Ukraine forces and their fight against the expansonist Russia..If India didn’t have military dependancy on Russia,we would have definitely supported the democratic powers of west and America..

    1. India supports Russia because the USSR (and later Russia) has supported India for many decades while the West has never been interested in helping India develop, I dias leadership recognises this past history with Russia and isn’t about to throw its ally under the bus.

    2. @BLITZKRIEG I have heard that India is now in the process of getting out of its Russian military contracts. For obvious reasons, but also because Russia (under sanctions) is not gonna be able to produce military parts or gear to anyone anymore. Probably for a very, very long time. So India will be free to be a full part of the democratic world soon. Love from Australia. See you on the cricket pitch. haha

    3. @Reggie EliseWe are United by Common wealth,Quad and cricket..I hope soon India can work with our democratic friends like Australia,Japan and U S to build a safe and stable future..

    4. @Geraldine Tobin India supporting Russia, because of Russia’s (and USSR’s) past “help” should not force you (or your government) to feel obliged to support their _present_ actions.

Have some balls. Back when the Bush administration decided to bombard and invade (and then occupy) Iraq some countries had the balls to not support that war at all and it absolutely created tensions (such as France who absolutely recognized what was actually happening, like other countries).

We all knew it was just for the oil; can’t India realize that Putin is doing what he’s doing simply to keep his grip on power and enrich his regime? Did you know there’s proven oil reserves worth billions of barrels and two TRILLION cubic meters of natural gas in the Black Sea? If Ukraine falls, Turkey won’t be happy next when massive deep sea exploitation starts popping left and right.

Does India support the invasion of a sovereign country? If Putin decides to use Nuclear missiles next, will you still not want to “throw your ally under the bus”? You’d just “condemn” the use of such a weapon but resume every day life as if humanity wouldn’t be on the actual verge of Nuclear annihilation?

Pick your poison I guess? If it’s Evil Vs Evil then at least to me one thing is for sure; one of the two is currently messing things up really good, while the other has at least more self-control. Wake me up the next time the U.S. actually threatens to use Nukes on their next victims for oil, then we’ll start talking.

    1. @Kevin Firstly, Russians live much better than Americans. The USA is a third world country compared to Russia.
Secondly, the Ukrainian Nazis are very proud of their Nazism and their atrocities. They call Ukrainian streets and squares after Nazi criminals convicted by the Nuremberg Tribunal. They make Nazi tattoos, celebrate the birthday of Hitler and other Nazi criminals and brutally torture and kill the people of Donbass for 9 years. This genocide has been going on for 9 years! The Ukronazis killed 14 thousand people in 9 years. The Russians came there at the request of the residents of Donbass to save them from genocide.
You have no right to talk about what you don’t know.

    2. @Carlos Trevino а ты любовник Зеленского? Человека руководящего нацистской страной…

  9. You can do it Ukraine! Freedom from the russian world, join the international community of developed nations working together, we gladly welcome you

    1. @Will Tell All The orcs are behaving the same way as the German Nazis of WW2. Destruction, looting, rape, murder, torture, annexing of territory.

    2. Anyone can be resilient while hiding behind civilians like they did so heroically in Mariupol!
      Very brave indeed!

  10. VICTORIES AND GLORY FOR THE SMART AND BRAVE UKRAINE/UKRAINIAN HEROES, 💗💗💪💪💪✌✌✌✌✌👍

    1. “BRAVE UKRAINE”???
What, but this people used civilian shields in Mariupol like cowards…
      What are you talking about?

  11. Knew you would guys had it in my heart after months back posting how resilient and stoic you are as a nation not only the men but the women and children yet breaks my 💔that som many have lost their lives but yes keep going guys love ya 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

    1. @Товарищ Андрей ☭ Glory to the free world! Glory to Ukraine and those especially those who stand and fight! The entire free world stands against Russia. Even China stands considering when to take back their land from Russia. Witness the end of Russia, NATO is watching from above, your own government is watching you and using your neighbors to spy on you. The walls are closing in, do you feel it?

The Free World Nations shall prevail and one day communism will be vanquished. Long live Ukraine! ❤

    2. But you said nothing as Obama’s drones killed 80% women and children right ?

The TV tells you who to love and hate but you won’t step out of the box and see we killed over a million civilians in Iraq and other places.
Why was you not caring about the kids then ?

  12. Remember what happened last time people started talking about “stalemate” and “frozen conflict”? Ukraine put it in high gear and took back 1k km of territory in a week. Right now they are just softening Russia up with constant artillery fire. Stay tuned! 🌻🇺🇦💪

    1. @R Smith
tldr: no they won’t, because they can’t field this big a force.

they don’t manufacture ball bearings. their economy is incapable of manufacturing ball bearings. take a deep breath and let it sink in, we’re not talking about 7nm chips, we’re talking basic, albeit big, ball. bearings.
the railway running stock is being used until it can’t, when a bearing fails, the entire carriage is put into storage. how do you reckon they can handle logistics without trains? without trains, Karl? don’t say trucks, because we saw the 60km column under Kiev stuck for weeks when they didn’t have trains to supply it.

    2. @Troll King I loved the video of the two Russian soldiers blowing each other and then got blown up by a grenade 😂

  13. I applaud the Ukrainian forces but equally the brave farmers that are clearly still cultivating crops in the middle of a war zone ; amazing 👍🏻

  14. May God Bless the Ukrainian People and the Ukrainian Military!
    🇺🇦🇺🇦Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava!🇺🇦🇺🇦
