US to support F-16 training effort for Ukrainians, Biden tells G7 allies

President Joe Biden on Friday told G7 leaders the United States will support an effort to train Ukrainian pilots on advanced aircraft, including F-16s, a senior administration official tells CNN. The joint training effort is not expected to happen in the US, the official said, and will likely happen entirely in Europe. CNNโ€™s Natasha Bertrand reports. #CNN #News

  1. I guarantee pilots are already in training or have completed. They know damn well they’re getting the jets ๐Ÿ™„

Biden one month ago: NO to sending F16s, because we d on’t want to escalate
Biden today: YES, we want to e scalate
proof of Biden’s d efamation here!

    2. The war has is a year long. It takes years to train fighter pilots in modern jets. Even longers for them to becomes “skilled” in combat.

  2. Brilliant idea let’s send more US DOD personnel into Ukraine for ‘training’. The reality is that what ever nation is selling/gifting the F16 should be providing training, maintenance and spare parts to the Ukraine.

  3. To me it sounds like a natural next step in the long complicated project of westernizing Ukraine’s military hardware. You just cannot flood in every type of system all at once.

    1. Yep I see it that way too. You walk steadily and make the message stronger and stronger. Also encourage the rest of the world to do the same and make it part of trade policy so those that countruies that do not defend freedom are not given advantageous or preferential trade deals.

  4. Itโ€™s funny really, theyโ€™ve already been doing this for weeks, and announced it a while back. They have some Ukrainian pilots here in AZ, training down in Tucson. Pretty sure Iโ€™ve even seen a few of them.

    1. they’ve been doing it for longer than a couple weeks, the leaked documents from that kid showed the US had troops on the ground since the beginning.

    2. THEY STARTED WITH 20 AND ARE NOW DOWN TO 6. THEY JUST CAN’T STICK THE LANDING LMAO

    3. that was just a test
A few days ago it was concluded they need 4 months for complete training. I guess now the summer semester officially begins!

    4. @BruceWayneIsSober The F16 is coveted amongst fighter pilots for being a โ€œsports carโ€ with wings, and a jet engine. It is supposed to be very responsive and maneuverable, I wonder what the issue is?

  5. The US announced months ago they were testing Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 in the US for the skills necessary for training on the F-16. Whatever happened and where is the reporting on this important step to this new training in Europe? Did any pass and was any further training offered on different jets like the A-10 warthog? The full picture would be an important aspect to this new DOD strategy…Just sayin’

    1. I was just thinking the same thing September of last year they were supposed to be training like itโ€™s been like eight months whatโ€™s going on?

    2. Since usa military started pilot training based on gender and race instead of ability there are few usa pilots qualified to train Ukrainians

    3. Well their just now going to start training them but they say even though they train them doesn’t mean they will deliver that’s what makes me mad they need to deliver them once their trained

    4. @Yehim Stone Ok, if true the question of how many did receive training still remains. If you have this info you should be able to at least provide a hard guess

    5. @Travel@world I seen a few vedios that I have saved from many news sources vedios from about 8 months ago that claim Ukrainians were already in the USA training

    1. Ukraine already lost about 170 jets. How many you want to send to change the outcome? Another 170? Same outcome.

    2. @Sleepy Joe Be safe, ะบะฐั€ั‚ะพะฟะปั I hear Putin
is in need of fresh new front-line meats ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿฅฉ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿช–๐Ÿ‘

    3. @Gfy Starshine Have you seen hundreds of videos where Zelensky draft police or how he calls them (kidnapers) kidnaps men from the streets in Ukraine? ๐Ÿคก

    4. A-10 can’t work very good in this war… The saturation of anti-aircraft weapons is crazy. Aircraft can operate only at a distance, without flying into enemy territory.

  6. I’ve been having F-16s flying around my house for 2 months now almost every day, and they are flying low over the marsh,I bet they have been training them in the u.s

    1. Theyโ€™ve been training on simulators as an experiment since July last year โ€ฆ

  7. Brilliant, brilliant, US gives F16 to Europe, Europe gives F16 to Ukraine, US denies supplying F16 to Ukraine. Absolutely brilliant ๐Ÿ˜‚

    1. Hey, whatโ€™s this F-16 doing here? Says Polandโ€™s Air Force officer. Wink Wink nudge nudge! ๐Ÿ˜

    2. US can even lend Ukrainian pilots a few B-2 bombers and Russia’s weak air defense won’t even know it.

  9. Are Ukraine’s allies having to rethink which artillery and ammunition Ukraine needs in light of Elon Musk pulling out some Starlink GPS support previously provided? โค GOD Bless Everyone

  10. “WAR is a RACKET. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.” – Two Time Medal of Honor Recipient USMC Major General Smedley Butler (1935)

  11. It will be interesting to get an assessment of the American jet after the Ukrainians have been flying junk Russian equipment. Even though all these F-16s are not top-of-the-line lighters in our older models. It will be interesting to see how they compare with the top-of-the-line Russian junk.

  12. I just got back from meeting with the Ukrainian Parliament in Poland, where they demanded F-35s and thought it was an obligation for every American to pay $10 a month to fund their war,โ€ first-term conservative Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla. said today. very useful information
