Wagner chief admits being ‘battered’ in Bakhmut, but remains confident

The founder and head of Russia's Wagner private military company, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said in an audio message that the battle for the eastern city of Bakhmut "has already practically destroyed the Ukrainian army," adding that Wagner has "been pretty battered" as well. Both Ukrainian and Wagner officials acknowledge street-by-street fighting in the city, with the Ukrainians claiming that they have stabilized the situation in Bakhmut. [for anyone missing the reference, this was said by the Black Knight after losing 3 limbs in a swordfight]

      “OH, SHUT UP!”

    1. not really, it would be estimated at 5-8 times less than the Russian skulls than Zelensky is collecting 🙂

  2. Normally i am hyped about new games and series and Movies.. but i am sooo hyped about all the new weapons tanks and the possibility of a Ukrainian spring offensive… Let’s goooo Ukraine 🇺🇦

    1. @Slow Shadow you don’t know the meaning of misinformation right? Wagner completely destryed the Ukrainian counter-offensive but this is NOT mention in CNN but highlighted Wagner was battered making an illusion that Wagner had lost while Ukraine is winning lmao

    2. @Slow Shadow “it’s highly entertaining to see Russia fail indeed”

Yup, the Ukrainian army is within days of capturing Moscow.

    3. Guys he’s not condoning war. He’s allowed to get excited at the idea of Ukraine getting weapons which will save Ukrainian lives

    1. I heard about the ISW’s (Institute for Studies in Warfare) assessment, which bares out my own comment last week. That Putin seems to be deliberately reducing Prigozhin’s Wagner group, whilst blocking his attempts to refill his ranks from gyms, clubs and prisons around Russia. Russia’s internal wars mean that Ukraine has not faced properly trained, equipped and supported soldiers for some time now, but just sheer overwhelming numbers, with occasional injections of special forces groups, here and there, but not in any significant numbers.
I do not fear for what might happen when the Russians finally do put their best on the front lines, as they lost their very best in the battle for Kiev and their failed invasion attempts around the whole eastern half of Ukraine last year. Putin might think he’s buying time to train and equip his latest swathe of conscripts, but they simply will not have the experience, will or matching equipment to halt Ukraine’s Spring offensive.
Once Putin has less Ukrainian real estate than he began with in February of last year, combined with new countries joining NATO and the sheer financial losses Russia has suffered, all topped off with China’s visit making it clear that Putin cannot expect any significant under the table assistance, and Russia are now China’s junior partner, his position as leader will be untenable. Unless Russia breaks up and becomes like North Korea with China’s assistance – while China soaks up the populations of Russia’s southern regions into their borders, because, “populations,” (particularly young people) are what China so badly needs right now, I can’t even see how Putin survives into next year?

    2. @Gryzor88 : Ukraine has no position on, “gay marriage,” so I wouldn’t even bother to play with Putin;s chat-bots. Or maybe they’re Chinese trolls? Makes no difference.

  3. >without the deaths of American soldiers
    >without using the latest equipment such as the F-35 and Abrams A1M2 SEPv4
    >for just 6% of the US defence budget for 2023
And Russia is forced to mobilise, use 1940s tanks and still can’t take a small Ukrainian town for 7 months.
    What a bargain!.. 🤣

    1. @Dan Wright If it was going so well, Russia wouldn’t need to pay people like you to spam youtube Serge

    2. @thalente khuluse do your own homework, if you wish to make claims that are untrue that is your problem but it does make you look daft

    3. @Setsuna1 @Set. I need the money. You should look into it . They treat us well. Free transportation to the motherland All the galoupsie we can eat at indoctrination camp . And more .

    4. @thalente khuluseyes they have. You can find many videos of Putin talking about it as a war and not a special military operation

  4. The logistical incompetence being displayed by the Russians will grace military textbooks for decades to come. It is truly an inspiring historical contribution by the Russian forces.

    1. @Not Human I’m not fighting. I’m just an observe. All indicators speaks about the catastrophe of the ukrainian army in Bakhmut.

  5. “Superior training and superior weaponry have, when taken together, a geometric effect on overall military strength. Well-trained, well-equipped troops can stand up to many more times their lesser brethren than linear arithmetic would seem to indicate.”

Let them throw lives away all they like
    Victory shall remain Ukraines dominion
    Long live democracy
    Long live Ukraine 🇺🇦 🇵🇱🇺🇸🇨🇦🇫🇮🇦🇺🇸🇪🇩🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧🇰🇷🇯🇵

    1. Sure. kinda weird though how western media quickly edits their videos and articles when testimony by Ukranian solder or officer about what’s happening to Ukranian forces there accidentally slips through

  6. This is at least the third time Prigozhin has capture Bakhmut.. And he isnt facing the Ukraine Army but only the unit defending this area.. Note to Prigozhin ” sending troops into machine gun fire isnt a plan for success..This isnt WWI.. And Defenders have a 5-1 advantage over attacking forces..So losses to Wagner of 5-1 vs Ukraine is highly likely.. Even prisoners serving life are refusing to join Wagner now..

  7. I’d say 1 : 7 or even 1 : 10 is not unrealistic given the Russian ‘tactics’ which seem to be more about getting rid of prisoners than anything else.

    2. @Михаил Черников firing 10 times more shells won’t help if they are not precision fired shells, Western militaries long time ago left that tactic of mass fire in the 20th century, now for the West it’s all about precision fires! Come join our military and you will learn my friend.

  8. Even if it is 2:1 it is still a shameful disgrace for ruzzia that even with merc’s thug help, ’cause in my eyes every mercenary is nothing more than an ex-soldier becoming thug and yet they are stil being battered to oblivion.

  9. I never thought I’d get to whiteness the power of Ukraine… You guys are truly strong!!!! Glory to Ukraine!!!!

  10. Ben weedman! What a name. Remember he has not been in the red zone for months but he knows every minute details…I think this guy is watching YouTube channels like all of us…

  11. Well, Wagner chief isn’t fighting, so the “Pretty Battered” is him just sending his guys on a suicide. Love to see him go in there and fight for 1 day. He doesn’t care as long as he can win a town.

  12. Napoleon’s cavalier expenditure of conscripts. These conscripts were lined up to march shoulder to shoulder toward the enemy, providing easy targets.

  13. It is so sad that war comes down to number of lives…….like a score board in a sport event!
