WaPo: FBI searched Mar-a-Lago for classified nuclear documents

The FBI sought to locate classified documents related to nuclear weapons, among other items, when agents searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, this week, people familiar with the investigation told The Washington Post.
The people did not offer additional details to the Post about "what type of information the agents were seeking" or whether any such documents were recovered, according to the paper.
The revelation adds key context to the Justice Department's extraordinary decision to search the home of a former president.#donlemontonight #LauraCoates #CNN

  1. Reminder: Stated on pg# 950 of Volume 5 of the bipartisan Mueller Report: “These and other revelations in the report suffice to establish that Donald Trump poses a counterintelligence threat to the United States…”

  2. If this is true and he had documents relating to nuclear secrets and SIGINT, he needs to be immediately locked up in solitary, within a max security military prison. This is an extremely huge breach of national security.

  3. I am in no way skilled in legal questions. But to me this moves the whole issue much closer to treason.
Edit: If it’s true, of course.

  4. “One room at the Mar-a-Lago, please.”
“Certainly. Would you like to upgrade to our Gold package? Or perhaps we could interest you in our new Nuclear add-on?”
    “Is that expensive?”
    “It’s classified.”

    1. Room comes with a nice plant in it! Don’t forget to close the window at night or some bugs might get in.

  5. If it is true that he had stolen nuclear secrets in his possession, that is treason and he deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law.

    1. I am laughing my head off…as if he is gonna have the nuclear paperwork laying about at Mar ……this is Democrats best yet…hilarious

    2. @Chase Viking patience is a virtue. Sit tight & watch it unfold. I’m 100% sure he’s guilty & we have a real chance at seeing him charged & convicted.

  6. Republicans: We demand you release the warrant!
Garland: We’re going to release the warrant.
Republicans: How dare you release the warrant!

    1. @You’re Right What are you expecting the Jan. 6th Committee to do? They don’t have law enforcement power. They’re strictly a fact-finding body. They can refer the matter to other agencies for those agencies to act on, but of themselves, the committee can’t act on their own findings – well, maybe except to create legislation based on those findings, which is a slow process that Moscow Mitch would eventually block anyway. 😅

  7. For a man that hardly read any documents when in office bringing home 15 full boxes is so impressive, I am sure he want to catch up. 😏

    1. Why do you think they were still sitting there after a year and a half?

A competent espionage operation would have scanned and destroyed the paper ages ago.

  8. Nuclear weapons are considered to be one of the ways humanity could end among other threats such as an asteroid hitting earth, plague, or climate decay.

  9. Trump was merely reviewing our nuclear weapons schematics to see how he might improve their function by putting his extensive knowledge of experimental physics to good use.

  10. He had those documents and has had a close relationship with the Saudi Government recently how are we not more concerned about that!!

    1. They wasted so much time so now they should get ready to pick up the pieces cause trump sure didnt waste time putting his stuff in order with his buddies thing is too many old folks doing the job too dam slow

  11. He just hosted the LIV golf tournament backed by Saudi with classified nuclear weapons intelligence and more in an unlocked room in the basement. This is the definition of a danger to our national security, how can anyone defend and support this man to be in any position of power.

    1. You should be asking yourself why it’s taken so long, if these documents are so top secret (as nuclear weapons documents would be), for them to retrieve them. Especially when they told Trump to put an extra lock on the storage area 2 months ago. Why didn’t they just take the documents then?

  12. It blows my mind how people consider Brittany Griner a trader of the U.S. all because she choose to stand up for what she believe in then you have… Donald Trump 😂🤦🏾‍♀️

  13. “Strongest nation in the world” gets their nuclear secrets stolen by a TV actor, astounding lmao

  14. Just when you think he’s gone as low as possible…you have to wonder what information he’s already sold.

  15. The fact it took almost 2 years to get those documents back is beyond explanation. Probably scanned, photocopied, photographed, etc. multiple times.

    1. Or flushed 5, 10, 15 times down the toilet. The plumber’s probably got national secrets already stashed in his house. 😅

  16. Firstly by now Trump could have made copies of the documents or disclosed them to 3rd parties. We need to figure out how to erase what Trump already knows 🤔

  17. Hearing this makes me think about the Rosenbergs and how they landed on the electric chair.
And not even for posession of such documents.
