I’ll have to admit, that would be pretty traumatic for most human beings I know.
As a senator you could also take your parvenue princess of a wife and bratty spoiled children on the road, using your car to deliver food, water and heaters to people that need them.
A Republican Captain is the 1st off the ship when it starts sinking.
He could contact and coordinate with local cities and towns to ensure the well being of its citizens.
