President Biden to speak on border security ahead of his visit to the US – Mexico border.

Speaking with reporters after an event in Kentucky, Biden told reporters it is his "intention" to visit the border as he makes his way to Mexico City for the North American Leaders' Summit. "We're working out the details now," he said, without disclosing where on the border he will go.
Biden also told reporters that he plans to give a speech on border security on Thursday. "I'm just going to see what's going on," Biden said on a trip to the border.
This is Biden's first trip to the border as president. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisles have continuously criticized Biden for not visiting the border even as ports of entry have seen surges of migrants.

@Jake Roberts Facts are not “ploys.” He did once control his stutter better but he has, in fact, aged. Fighting against the red rot must be hard on him. I guess we will just have to hope he doesn’t start to lose his memory and begin senile selling arms to Nicaraguans.

We know most people applying for asylum don’t qualify. Getting the applications processed quickly will help return those who don’t qualify to ease the burden on our systems. The app is a good idea, and I hope the info gets out to those who need it. I read about the parole program. It’s good for those with family here at least. I haven’t seen statistics on how many granted asylum actually have family here. A lot of people expelled under Title 42 have been crossing illegally multiple times. Not sure why they can’t be sent farther away from the border to make that harder.
