  1. We need more Americans like Grimm to tell the truth after xtrump hacked the government during his term. Can’t wait for xtrump, family, his business, and the cronies that took advantage of real people.

    1. @Libby Belle i know about the military build up, i read from some sources that the military were afraid that if they have a large source of troops on a island near china, they would get wiped out by a missile, especially with china openly saying they would nuke us if we tried anything

    2. HA HA HA; SOCALPATHIC AUTOCRATIC SOCALIST FIRST LINED HIS POCKET DEEP; SAID COV-19 WAS FAKE AND GOP FOLLOWED; GOP AND TRUMP(NEEDS LOBOTOMY) FAILED TOO FUND R AND D FOR COV-19; PRESIDENT SAVES LIFES FOR THE WORLD; NOT LINE MY POCKETS DEEP AND MAYB I WILL DO NOTHING FOR TH WORLD(HUMAN PROGRESS) HA HA HA HA HA HA HAPPY JUNE 19TH TO ALL YOU RACIST; DO NOT TREAD ON MY VOTE AND OTHER AMERICANS;

    3. @Tasty Bait então Militares poderia a ver negócio á Sim em rede Net sem a Presença de Ádvogados.e Trump expor o que ele quer .pondo 1% . sendo eu o único dono de Estórias .eu sei que tem Advogado no serviço Militar. E ele fez Wacacion com estes 1%

  2. One reason they won’t stay during August , is because they want to hide when delusional don tried to regain presidency !!!!

    1. Too bad make them stay they are the Minority Party something the Democrats do not seem to grasp they are never going to compromise or be bipartisan. Ram the stuff thru and vote these crooks out over the next 3 election cycles. They are not worthy of representing this nation.

    1. Thomas – What type of career would he most likely have had ? What did his peers earn ? What are the damages beyond financial. Like family.

    2. I agree, but in Missouri he can’t get a penny. Only people who are exonerated by DNA are eligible for compensation.

    3. @steve jette I just left my career field but I made tens of thousands more than folks I grew up with and my family. I went to college, which also was a big factor. He could have been someone like me…. that is not a fair scale. He could have been FAR more successful than me even without a college education. He deserves MILLIONS no matter what.

  3. Barbarism. This is absolutely, positively heinous. Leaving him in prison is beyond apathetic, it’s EVIL. Undeniable EVIL.

    1. If his skin was a few shades lighter, the governor would’ve had him out in a week.

    2. This is why you should never vote Republican and do everything you can to destroy their political careers; they aren’t just different, they are soulless and evil.

  4. The story about Mr. Strickland is devastating. I don’t understand why he hasn’t been released. Horrifying. 43 years since the age of 18 and innocent. I feel sick.

    1. If Trump was allowed to pardon his already convicted friends & alledged accomplices, surely President Biden could step in to help this wrongfully convicted man?

    2. BECAUSE THE REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR IS TOO BUSY PONDERING “PATRIOTS” FROM 1/6 RIOTS…. BETTER KNOWN TO THE MAJORITY AS…. TERRORIST INSURECTION… AND HASN’T HAD THE TIME TO SIGN INTO LAW SOMETHING THAT WOULD BRING FAIRNESS TO AS THE PUSSYBRAGGER NIXON V2.0 WOULD CALL….. ” THE BLACKS”. All it takes is 30 SECONDS OF SIGNATURE AS IT IS ALREADY IN HIS DESK.

    3. @Lisa Zabriskie – because… the way people are in this country… they want to hold somebody accountable… TODAY!
It doesn’t matter who… but if they’re black or brown… even better!

    4. Governor Parsons who should issue the clemency has said he WILL NOT DO SO; he is a right wing extremist and an obvious racist; his priorities are guns, pro-birth legislation and pardoning the McCloskey’s (the rich people who pointed guns at peaceful BLM protesters), limiting postal voting.
      He’s a heartless coward, a typical Republican.

  5. Don’t take so many holidays guys. I don’t get August off (although I’ll take it off if you pay me a senate salary for the month).

    1. And what are these few Misfit Republicans and their bogus so-called reasons stated for not signing on to Juneteenth? That federal employees shouldn’t get another paid holiday? Aren’t they federal employees? Maybe elected officials are some other sort of thing, when it comes to this particular pack of Republicans in congress, I don’t think we’ve quite figured out what that actual thing is yet. All we know about it is that it is ugly and stupid.

    2. With Schumer in charge I doubt they’ll do it. It’s almost like he doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

  6. Mike Parsons time is no more valuable than Kevin Strickland’s. Let justice prevail Gov Parsons. Set Kevin Strickland free. Strickland has lost 50 years of rightful freedom.

    1. @David Rook he should be paid multi millions. Wrongful conviction is bad enough, but not releasing him immediately that’s been determined is unforgivable.

    2. @David Rook Keeping him in there when they know he’s free is only going to make the lawsuits weightier.

If he was white, he’d have been out within a week.

    3. @janeen harris. Don’t get me wrong because I don’t think the system can ever repay him with no matter what they come up with. I can’t even imagine what the poor man went through.

    4. @NoChance WithoutPasta. I agree, but you know the state is looking to reduce those costs by any means.

    5. Parsons is a far right Republican extremist and racist.
The prosecutor who wants Mr. Strickland released is a liberal democrat
      Mr. Strickland is black.
Thus Parson not only gets to “own the libs” but also can please his racist Republican base.

  7. Summer recess, is for children, going to school. Government should be 24/7, especially congress and the senate. Holiday time should be allotted by the amount of bills and passage of accomplished work for the American people. When there docket is effectively at a low, then personal time , of 2 week vacation on a rotational basis would be effective, in making government the tool of democracy.

    1. Tudo e um Escândalos e um GOP .e Wacacion .e Descriminação. Racismo. E Corrupção .

    2. TRUMP deu o seu GOP a sim expondo 1%para mim se eu sou o único dono de Estórias .por isso taí o GOP .uma coisa em internet .a sim sem a Presença de um Advogado.

    3. If America wants to get things done, they need to get rid of it’s association with the country that controls congress.

    4. @Caroljo 420 this has been a favorite hobby horse of mine – they should have to live on what the legislate for the rest of us to live on.

  8. Because it’s America! Crow that they are the best in the world and then do the opposite. Suppress voter rights and fix elections. Not a democracy.

    1. We definitely have no business throwing stones. Positive vibes from New Hampshire and remember to be kind to each other and yourself

  9. Unfortunately, time is the one thing in life that we can never get back. And believe me, I’ve tried. But this is not about getting time back, this is about righting an egregious and unthinkable wrong. He is our fellow American citizen, so it should matter to all of us.

  10. Filibuster is killing Democrats. I like show up with 41 Senators, hold the floor type filibuster modification, work for it, just don’t phone it in.

    1. @Dach The difference is that the Republicans are have cheated immensely, are cheating immensely, and will cheat immensely, destroying democracy in the process. This is the time to act. We, the decent, real patriots of America, may not have another chance.

    2. Or the Democrats could ignore the filibuster like the republicans do when they use it, no matter what, the republicans just push 💩 through, like when the dems tried the filibuster on the last SCOTUS nomination, let’s face it, they don’t follow the laws or rules and never pay the consequences for it, if the .1% doesn’t run things, who does?

  11. It’s quite telling that ANYONE would vote AGAINST a voting rights bill, isn’t it? That says right there that they do not believe in our democracy or our constitution!

    1. @mjc 427 Do you know how to Google? Her name is Raquel Rodriguez and she was arrested on felony charges in San Antonio, Texas.

    2. @James Hirtz Hey russian, yet again you are confusing the system you live with there in your little Kleptocracy. And our United States of America. Voting is a right here, You have no vote russianTroll.

  12. Very easy to say “humble”. Action is much more profound than words. Another of so many examples of the system being corrupt, weighted and prejudiced. Good luck and I hope Mr. Strickland gets a million dollars per year. It’s not enough but a start.

    1. They won’t do it because Joe Manchin vote against it. He’s really a Republican disguised as a Democrat. He’s the lowest of the low

    2. Even if he gets set free–which he should–he won’t be eligible for any compensation. Missouri only gives compensation for wrongfully convicted if they are exonerated by DNA.

    1. That is why he is still a prisoner they need to Lawyer Up and they know their going to loose a lot of Money $. I Hope !

    2. @D SC The reason the governor won’t release him is easy to see. The prosecutor who wants him released is a liberal democrat and the governor is a far right extremist. This is his way of not only “owning the libs” but also of showing his racism for his racist republican base.
Republicans always claim that their imaginary black friend or token black republican at a rally are some kind of proof that their obvious racism isn’t obvious racism.

  13. I am outraged that a man everyone has decided is innocent is still in jail, over a month after prosecutor asked for his release. He’s already lost 43 years of his life for no reason. Now they have added another 43 days. What’s the problem, Missouri?

    1. @Shih Tzus Rule for what purpose though?
If they have sorrowed and agonized us this much, even from a safe distance, I don’t want to imagine what they would, at close proximity

    2. Sick officials following Trumps rhetoric, sack them they are useless. Probably from Trump la la land.

    3. @Shih Tzus Rule I actually have been to Missouri a few times. I was trying to shame Missouri into action. Can’t shame the shameless I guess.

  14. Thay are afraid that when thay let him free and say he was wrongfuly convicted and imprisoned, thay the state will be sewed and he and his family will win,
