    1. I was at the dentist office the other day and a guy had a belt buckle the size of a frisbee. I didn’t think people still did that.

  1. The lack of a timetable bothered me. They gave the impression that it could go on forever and that they had no plan. They should have been over communicating the status. Knowing your powers going to be out for another 36 hours is different than well your power will be back on sometime… We don’t know when.

  2. What can Texans do to prevent this happening again? Prevent the rich from choosing to earn more money, rather than fixing the system? (It wasn’t fixed last time.)

    1. They could have tested the system in panels or blocks to see how each one would handle the situation. If New Orleans can fix their flood problems. Then Texas should be able to fix their power and water problems.

  3. Texas Republicans in 2021: “There was no way to predict this would happen!”
Winter Storm that shut down power in 2011: 🙄
Winter Storm that shut down power in 1989: 🙄 🙄

    1. GEE THANK YOU SMARTASS 🤦‍♀️🙄 I’ve had ZERO power for 4 days! And…its been like 2-18 degrees!
      💩🤡😡

  4. Somewhere between … who could have seen this comming … and they did see it coming … now to spinn it to blame democracy…
If your one of THEM … you know now that there goal is to bring down democracy by any means necessary.

    1. @Michael Kurchak yes and apparently they don’t want the Federal Government in their business! So it makes you wonder what they are up to in Texas.

  5. that Governor is soooooo full of SH..! As sooooo many politicians — ALWAYS SOMEBODY ELSES’ FAULT…..SHAME ON HIM….SHAME ON HIM!!!

  6. If the power companies – essential services – won’t invest the needed money in to having back-up emergency generation capacity,
they have to be forced in to it. For affected counties, fine the companies a million dollars per county per day.
    That should get their attention.

  7. “great” state? Texas has known for at least 10 years that their power grid wouldn’t survive a winter storm like this. and they did nothing.

  8. We’ve been out for four or five days so he’s out of his mind and he needs to go somewhere else and I will say that because I am a Texan and that is not OK don’t do the blame game were suffering and surviving he needs to do his part and serve the citizens that he was appointed to serve
