    1. and to let this sink in for the rest of her life she will get 115k of Tax payer money every year for being PM for less then 2 months …….

    1. @Cranberry Eater “I’m an American”. You may wan’t to interact with actual Brits who live there to get a better perspective.

    2. @CYCOlogist indeed I am American, with an astute understanding of EU and troika. I am willing to wager that you have no clue what I am referring to when I mentioned the name Varoufakis.

    3. @autentyk i didn’t vote to leave. I didn’t believe the lies and promises. Most of scotland voted to remain in the eu

  1. Message to the Tories, do not replace Truss with Boris Johnson. This will fail. It’s time to call an election. You’ve lost the confidence of the people

    1. She’s being replaced by a lobotomised chimp which has been shaved and put in a suit. I think it could work better than the last two disasters.

  2. “45p tax cut – gone.
    Corporation tax cut – gone.
    20p tax cut – gone.
Two year energy freeze – gone.
    Tax-free shopping – gone.
    Economic credibility – gone.”
And last but not least, Liz Truss, GONE! Well done Keir Stramer! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

    1. Created a big financial problem, which may still spread to be a global one. Fired the team and then bailed with a PM’s pension and lordship waiting for her. Great job.

    2. She did keep one pledge restore bankers bonuses, she kept that one and never raised a a tax levy on the energy companies, she is a friend to the wealthiest fat cats .

    3. @Michael Bee Are we Irish allowed to object to when Israel used forged Irish passports to assassinate one of the Hamas leaders? Not that anyone’s going to weep for a dead terrorist or that group, which murders gays like me and plenty of Palestinians too, but still – in your cosy view, are any critics of Israel over her politics and actions ‘morally wrong’, or is literally Anything that the Israeli government says and does ‘morally right’?

  3. Shortest PM in history, a general election is needed. The people should be the ones to decide who is the next PM since they can’t elect a competent candidate

  4. For those watching in the US…
This is the most riveting and viscerally engaging speech she has ever given.
This, along with her multilateral incompetence and delusional narcissism, might explain in part her unpopularity.
    There is much besides.

    1. @Stephen Grahn Incorrect, finance of the world goes through NYC, Shanghia and Tokyo. Get with the program laddie.

  5. She walked into an extremely difficult situation and simply wasn’t a good enough politician to get through it.

The truth is the UK is in for some very difficult economic times. She completely failed in her communication w the people, the private sector and the parliament on what she was doing and why it was necessary.

  6. πŸ’™ 𝑻𝒀𝑹𝑢𝑡𝑬 𝑷𝑢𝑾𝑬𝑹 πŸ’™ says:

    “I’m a fighter not a quitter”
    That aged well 🀦🏻

    1. this is what happens when you have a demagogue who simply parrots talking points that people want to hear but have no plan or understanding of how to deal with serious government issues.

  7. The CEO of a road sign factory somewhere in the UK:
“No way… how the hell we ran out of U-Turns so quickly?!”

  8. “I came into office at a time of great economic and international instability … and I said to myself ‘You call this instability?’, and so I then proceeded to tell the world to hold my pint … “

  9. I love british comedies and I like to follow politics. This is the best crossover ever – british politics is now an absurd comedy

    1. It allways has been. Check out a show called yes minister and its follow up yes prime minister. Funny as hell.

    2. @Lupin the 3rd I know that one quite well, fir example the very first episode where Sir Humphrey tricks Jim Hacker into cancelling the order for US printers, when UK has its own, while PM is about to sign Anglo-American trade treaty… And Jim Hacker could have ended up as the shortest serving minister ever πŸ˜€ Well, Lizzie is ever worse

  10. She made the wrong move at the wrong time: Tried to use a strategic move when a a tactical one was called for. You can’t give free money to the rich today when the poor cannot even feed themselves.

    1. Well Biden did the same thing, and he even forgets he’s the President. Although ppl are cheering for this, I think they should also realize there’s a lesson here too.

  11. As I use to say as a teacher: “Everybody brings joy to this place. Some when they enter and others when they leave.”

  12. The problem with the β€œconservative” party is that it is staffed by people who are not conservatives.
