It's hard to ignore Ye's string of controversies but experts say it may be necessary to stop rewarding his problematic behavior with attention.

Ye shared antisemitic statements in his latest posts, and Hollywood and the social media platforms are proving actions have consequences. The rapper, also known as Kanye West, was locked out of his Twitter and Instagram accounts; Spokespeople for Twitter and Instagram said Sunday that Ye posted messages that violated their policies.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Sarah Silverman and more figures in Hollywood have also used their platform to speak out against the hateful messages shared by Ye.

In a tweet sent late Saturday, Ye said he would soon go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” an apparent reference to the U.S. military readiness condition scale known as DEFCON. In the same tweet, which has since been removed by Twitter, he said: “You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

  1. These outbursts only seem to pop up when he has a record to promote. He’s in the scandal selling business. All record distribution nonsense. The contemporary equivalent of payola.

  2. Yeah, because he has a message that isnt the clear narrative society is trying to push, “He is crazy”… They do this to everyone

  3. He’s doing what he really wants to do. People want him wear top fashion all the time don’t worry America he will be putting on Nike for you to look pretty for you calm down 😂
