  1. Almost exactly 100 years ago, a similar battle was playing out not far from Kyiv. Russia was invading Poland, and they were stopped in the battle of Warsaw. Poland went on to gain its statehood for the first time in a very long time. It’s incredible how much history repeats itself – this is the Ukrainian version.

    1. @acmusa, Thats what I thought aswell for a long time.

Unfortunately the truth is that drive on Moscow was not affected by weather at the time, the Moscow defences were too well fortified. . The first snow flake fell like a few weeks afterwards.

You could say the Germans did not send a strong enough force to break it, they focused too much on Stalingrad and the Caucuses.

Russia is very big and the distance from German lines to Moscow is very long, the troops were very tired after overwhelming Soviet defences before Moscow.

Even a worse result for the Germans considering most were stationed in Poland, Romania and just mopped up Yugoslavia at the time.

Germans actually took irreversible casualties trying to take pointless hills, bunkers, dug outs before they set there eyes on the big game like Stalingrad, Moscow, Leningrad, Sevastapol.

    2. @JK, Irrelevant, Idiotic and meaningless for people to blame weather on a military failure and can’t even tell the difference between what Russia, Russians and the Soviet Union is.

    3. @Johnny Mlad Hey, Johnny, tell us all about the Poles in the Soviet Union, and how the .03% of the Soviet population being Polish makes it a wash between the Soviet Union and Poland, as to whom the Poles generally sided with in the early 1920s war.

That was such a genius comment to make, please tell us a lot more. So relevant, and important to add.

    4. @JK, Poles? . . They should remember who liberated them and what the Nazis did to there population before the Soviets kicked them out.

Alot of good France, US and Britain did for Poland aswell during that period, I know this because my country got screwed by the Allies in similar fashion. .

Difference is Poles still think or like to believe they are true friends, We don’t!

Soviets didn’t make the Poles walk in the gutters, they didn’t mock them, they didn’t label Poles as inferior people Sub-Humans.

My grandfather was a POW from what he said the captured Polish soldiers never made it to his camp, the Nazis pretended to transport them into Germany. . Shot them dead in mass graves instead.

  2. Git ‘em Ukraine! I’m an Irish American in NYC. I never had any opportunity to meet any Ukrainians BUT BOY OH BOY! What’a first impression! I have a whole new respect Ukrainian people after this last year. Keep up the good fight! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦 💪🏼

    1. @Antifa and BLM are true fascists (Andy peltola) your user name makes no sense. Don’t forget who stormed the capitol and attacked our democracy.

    2. @Antifa and BLM are true fascists (Andy peltola) Trump started this war. After putin gave trumb boy to pull troops out of Europe, Afghanistan and attacked all western alliances threatening to pull out of Nato and other agencies that was put in place to defend and keep the western alliances strong.

    3. @colorblindvids lol nice. Atleast we know why putin had Trump pulled troops out of Afghanistan and released all taliban leader. Remember Russia was the one that had the embarrassing stain of losing to the Afghans. America had all the talibans locked up or in hiding until Trump released them. Meanwhile distracting Americans and the rest of the world while the talibans were slowly retaking the country since 2018 2019. Way before Biden became president.

    1. @Keith Combs No one “let’s” Putin have it dimwit. Putin took it cause he could, and there’s not a f*cking thing anyone can do about it.

    2. @mile_high_topher I never met someone who voted for Trump and displayed a Confederate flag. Most likely he’s a white male in upstate New York or western Pennsylvania, or better yet he might be like my brother who’s the only Puerto Rican with a Trump flag I know, but trust me there out there.

    3. @David Aponte Your anecdote doesn’t mean much. Trump supporters literally flew the confederate flag in the halls of congress. There’s pictures.

    4. @mile_high_topher Well then I guess your anecdotal evidence is irrelevant as well it being the vast majority of the over 75 million Americans who voted for Trump weren’t at that protest January 6. It’s all anecdotal therefore irrelevant, Scooter.

    1. @lettheflamestakeover2037 You embody the pathetic ruzzian psych in your comments. You get a little hard on at the sight of civilians being attacked by orders from your coward in chief in the Kremlin. Pathetic to say the least. Different story against well trained troops though…obviously!

    2. … and most of them are in wheelchairs… if they are former Russian combatants in Ukraine, they are the epitome of “a loser”.

  3. I noticed a number of men on wheelchairs surrounding the mercenary chief, whilst he’s complaining. Very telling!

    1. Yes, at least four wheelchairs. A penal slave is still a slave for the allotted service. They still must work for the neonazi’s private firm (which he named for Hitler’s favourite composer.)

  4. I love it when mercenaries indignantly take the moral high ground! “Sure, I kill people for money, but I expect loyalty!” 😇

    1. USA foolish foreign policies , they thought they rich in 90s from selling weapons they can do what ever they want. And they want to be the good guy and the communism is bad. They are just tired of racist against black people so now communism is the new enemy. Ukraine has always been pushed by USA to fight Russia since USA use propaganda to break apart Russia ( Soviet ). Its the US of A who wants to be the good guy and bully others through sanctions to because they think they are better than everyone else. USA still cant help being racist. And that concludes, USA its a country of Tyrants.

    1. @edmundo oliver *Many will survive if they Prep now. Its not the end, just the start of a rough time for the survivors, a very rough time!!!*

    2. @baileytom78 Because they have to fight the Nazis while the US just sit home and sell weapons and create policies benefits them.

  5. It will be interesting in the future to see how the Russian people will deal with THEIR RESPONSIBILITY in this regard. I am really curious how they will take it nationwide. Will they say that they didn’t know anything, will they be blinded and play an artificial victim role, we’ll see.

    1. When it’s over, the Russian civilians will use the same old line that the German civilians used, “We had no idea.” In the meantime, they are afraid of their own shadows, afraid of Putin and his henchmen who are throwing higher ups out of windows left and right if they disagree with Putin over what day of the week it may be… Sad. Sheep.

    1. @garryej Retaliate? How about just defend themselves. Let’s hope he’s the next Russian to fall out of a window.

    2. *BEWARE! All the pieces are falling together. We have NEVER in human history been so close to Igniting WWIII. One cause not talked about is that every major power is in the deepest Debt and at the end of any further leading, so what happens next? Economics is the main reason to “kick off” WWIII to keep people’s minds off a global bankruptcy which has already started with global inflation, that’s always the first sign, more will come! Live Carefully! Time to be VERY “Bearish”.*

    3. Ffff MASS MURDER: The Real Numbers Out Of Ukraine Are Horrifying.

President Putin: “We are not at war with the people of Ukraine, have already said this many times, they became hostages of the Kiev regime and its western masters, who actually occupied this country in the political, military, and economic sense.”

President Putin: “See what they do with their own peoples- the destruction of the family, cultural and national identity, perversion, mockery of children, and pedophilia are declared the norm.
      The norm of their life.”

The civil war in Ukraine has raged for 8 years, at the cost of more than 14,000 lives. It began with a US-backed, 2014 coup that ousted Ukraine’s democratically elected government in Kiev. In its place came a regime chosen not by the Ukrainian people but by America.

Russia is going to send 1 million troops into the Ukraine. If it doesn’t quickly achieve the objective they’re going to order the evacuation of Ukrainian cities and then they’re gonna drop a tactical nuke with the warning any country supporting The Ukraine is going to get hit with hypersonic missiles and tactical nukes if Ukraine doesn’t surrender in 48 hours they’re going to hit them with atomic bombs until they surrender. Biden said he is willing to lose 100, million Americans. Let’s see if he’s the man of his word or if he comes to his sensesbbnjj

    1. Look boring preferred drinking vodka and coffee at they office then listen to a psycho
Two hours speech ! I would have been dead

  6. How you would expect a good president and leader of democracy to speak and be! He fills the role well and has done the USA proud in visiting Poland and Ukraine!

  7. I honestly hate Russia’s situation. As a child I grew up hopeful that the fall of the Soviet Union meant that our countries would become great friends. I started wrestling young, and always admired the wrestlers from our former rivals. I admired the grit of their people, able to be prideful of their nation despite its massive shortcomings. I hoped that a US RUS partnership would emerge, and that there would truly be a semblance of world peace. Fast forward almost 3 years and the Russian people are essentially held hostage by their FSB, which is under the thumb of a Mobster King. It’s riches plundered, it’s reputation tarnished for decades to come. Instead of becoming a force for good, Russia has taken the exact opposite route and on multiple occasions, held the world hostage with its nuclear arsenal. They are so corrupt, they can’t even let their neighbors prosper at risk of exposing to their own people the level of their own thievery. I want Russian people to understand that the West doesn’t hate them. We hate the de facto monarchy that pushes them further from prosperity, and we only grow disappointed that they don’t seize control for themselves. In my opinion, negotiations should end with an Napoleon style punishment for Putin and all autocratic leaders. Set them on an island far away from anyone and let them watch the world prosper not just without them, but directly in spite of them. Celebrate the anniversary of his exile every year, and make him watch.

  8. Russia lost about 15,000 troops capturing a Bahkmut region village named Soledar, that had a population of 10,000 before the war. Bahkmut itself had a pre-war population of 70,000 and it seems pretty likely that Russia is going to suffer that many casualties(killed and permanently disabled) trying to take that city.
