Balcony collapses with more than a dozen people on top of it | USA TODAY

More than a dozen people were on a beachfront balcony in Malibu, California, when it collapsed nearly 15 feet onto rocks and sand below.

Several people were injured when the balcony collapsed on May 8. The video from the scene showed more than 15 people on the balcony as it collapsed. Four people were taken to hospital, and several others treated at the scene, they said.

The homeowner said the property had been rented out, and only six people were meant to be there. Meanwhile, local officials declared the home uninhabitable.
