Brian is right. Better to undercharge and not overreach. Got to dot I’s and cross t’s, lawlessness is quick, lawful justice is long and frequently infuriating. So be it.
Good to hear this finally makes more sense instead of that earlier 2nd degree. There’s a lot of mean cops out there, from my experience and my doctor and friends. A lot of the cops are the adult kids has no goal nor can do better in their life for the future. They applied to be a cop because of the pay is good.

Derek Chauvinist needs to receive the maximum sentence with no parole. So must his accomplices.

@Blitz He had meth and fentanyl in his system, he had severe blood conditions, and he died from a heart attack during the altercation. Chauvin should be charged with murder, but Floyd was a convicted and lifelong felon.
He needs life imprisonment and the other 3. THAT will be the justice.
The real challenge would be finding a non-biased jury
