CNN finds stranded Uyghur children in China

Amnesty International reports that China's policies towards ethnic Uyghur Muslims have split up thousands of families, as some children are prevented from leaving China's Xinjiang region to be with their parents living abroad. The US and other countries have labeled China's treatment of Uyghurs as genocide. Beijing strongly denies the accusations, insisting that its actions are justified to combat religious extremism and prevent terrorism. With permission from Uyghur parents desperate for answers, CNN's David Culver traveled to the heavily surveilled Xinjiang region in search of their children left behind.

    1. The little girl mother is in prison by Chinese law his father afraid to go back what’s the point with reunited or not she have her grand father

  1. Look at the living environment is much more better than America children camp…at least with grandma and grandpa. Pity of us citizens. Suffer yet their government busy body making trouble around the world.

  2. The biggest joke and rumor is about xinjiang. Did you visit xinjiang? The minority in China have more privileges than general Han Chinese people.

  3. Maybe part of story is true. But I am wondering why the chinese goverment detain their parents or childrens into Camp? What exactly did they do before? This video does not explain the details. Everybody agree people shoud unit with their familiies. What I know is most of Uyghur famalies do not have such kind of issues. What if those people broke the law, some of them are terrorist and want to creat chaos in Xinjiang , does everything make more sense now?

CNN just show us a piece of story, they can do whatever they can to make up the story to pregenda the thoughts. If you really want press the story of Uyghur people in China. Please go there, do some reserch and show us the numbers!! Like how many uyghur polulation now in Xinjiang. If the number is growing, it means there are no
massacre. how many average GDP do uyghur peopler have in the past 20 years? If the number is growing, it means they are get better life than the past and live with better quality life.

I am a Chinese, not a commuist. I am not dodging to answer all the questions for our goverment. If Chinese goverment did something wrong, I abosultly will charge them. Based on what I saw in the past 20 years in China, the goverment do give us a oppotuntity to imporve our life quality. I appreicate what they are doing.

    1. I grew up in Xingjiang and currently working in the US right now…from my personal perspective, the most dangerous part of Xingjiang is our delicious food, WHICH destroys ALL YOUR EFFORT TO LOSE WEIGHT. CNN should mark my words down for their future reports.

    1. You are speaking of logic. That’s heresy theses days in the far west. They used to burn scientists for speaking the truth, remember?

  4. It’s amazing how every time when there’s news about the Uyghurs, there’s always a lot of comment replies with the same kind of bad English grammar defending the Chinese government, and they are always copied and pasted across hundreds of comments.

Now I’m not saying they are bots or paid to do this, but I’m seeing a pattern.

    1. The Great People of R*tarded China find it weird that “these Uyghurs are speaking perfect English”, they are not, their English are both elementary AND terrible. Some are smarter, they instead find it funny how “the English voices are covering the original voices”, it’s called a voice-over, it’s the same thing as dubbing an anime. But I understand your suspicion, since altering foreign media so your people won’t see things you don’t want them to see is hardly a foreign concept for China.

  5. fake news at its best lol . They always use the same tactic… theres nothing much to laugh about anymore

  6. Hmmmm….. thats a bit easier than marrying US old lady, and pretending love her for several years. This way only takes 3 minutes crying.

  7. Thansks to US Army, CNN can also find stranded Syrian children in Germany. Or Iraq children in other places.

  8. CNN reporters were followed by Chinese police the entire trip, but still somehow managed to talk to local Uyghurs, get inside their houses, and have the kids on video calls.

  9. So that’s where trump and his heartless aides (like Steven Miller & Jeff Sessions) got the “children seperation policy” idea from!!!

  10. Meanwhile in the US. Mexican Children are separated from their families and getting locked up.

  11. Can’t hear the interviewees. No subtitle. I don’t want to hear you tell me what happened. It should be evident in the footage. If you need to add commentary add it in text. All in all terrible coverage. I guess you tried. Also ice does the same. Guess China and USA were made for each other.

  12. why is he getting the help from.amnesty?
he has done nothing wrong to abundant his family in Xinjiang?

  13. Wow,a rich family,if the western didn’t hire this man,the family will live better, the families can live together

  14. According to one of China media”That girl said she wanted to stay in China cuz her grandparents and friends there. She is happy to live in China. ” So different than CNN
We shouldn’t trust any of Media today. They are not 100% true, they present their own opinion. We shouldn’t just watch only one media. Watch few more and judged by yourself.🤫
