  1. Imagine how proud you would feel if you and your people fought against overwhelming odds and survived.

    1. @Claus Bohm Almost the same evacuation too, Helicopters fleeing from the top of the building. Sleepy joe did the right thing. There’s a whole generation of Afghanis grown up in the 20 yrs that gong show went on. Afghans were surrendering to the Taliban as the troops were leaving. they didn’t want Americans there either.

    2. @Ken White also what about Iraq2, read Fiasco by Thomas Ricks, very enlightening on how the damn thing got started. “Uncle Ho and Uncle Sam” documentary is very informative on Vietnam.

  2. The UK Ministry of Defence said that a conference of 35 nations arranged by the UK had ‘committed to widening its package of military support for Ukraine and explored new ways of sustaining the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the longer term’. The UK is planning to send single-use ‘loiter’ weapons similar to the US Switchblade UAV, essentially a flying bomb which is remotely deliberately crashed into targets. Anti-aircraft and anti-ship systems that would be able to target ships in the Black Sea could also be sent. The move comes as Western leaders agreed to up their military support for Kyiv to include armoured vehicles and heavy artillery , the UK 155mm AS -90 self propelled gun is being considered as one option to counter fire against Russia’s artillery . expect more, as the west can now see this war shaping up differently from what they originally expected

    1. @Eddie L My native tongue is French English isn’t the easiest for me I also use text to speech so sometimes it makes things up

    2. @Michael Stevenson for future reference Comrade Dickoff, if you are going to pretend to be French you should probably create your account with a French name instead of an Anglo one. It’s a shame that Putin has turned Russia into North Korea and has attacked Ukraine just for his own ego. Now the whole world looks at Russia with contempt.

    3. @Chanah’s Creative Edits Would appear to be superior to the Russian equivalent , wouldnt you agree ?

  3. Well that is incredible spot-on point-blank reporting but it’s sad to see how that neighborhood looks now I pretty sure it was nice before🤔

    1. There will be restoration…the people of Ukariane can stand together and fight for their land the will stand together and build again❤

  4. I think this report really got to me because the Ukrainians are truly making all of us look questionable in this debacle. They are truly independent people in their hearts. God luv ’em…they deserve an honorary status in the EU and NATO and UN. Bravery and courage and total devotion to their country…it is so wonderful to see. I love the Ukrainians and even hope some day I can visit and honor them somehow. Please NATO, don’t be afraid to give them all they need. They seem to be using it all very intelligently and wisely under the most extreme conditions. Please God continue to hold on to Your Ukrainians…they deserve to be helped in all ways.

    1. @John Doe “There is no instance of a nation benefiting from prolonged warfare.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War

  5. There’s nothing stronger than fighting for your home and lives of your families and fellow country man and women! So much respect to Ukrainians!God be with you all!

  6. Keep in mind: Ukrainian police are intimately familiar with these backroads;
It has been spoken: “It is unwise to hunt your neighbor, in his own forest.”

    1. Some nations have learned this lesson the hard way in places like Vietnam,/Afghanistan, Great Britain during the US revolutionary war. Then again, some lessons are not always learned the first time around. As another saying goes, “Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it. ” My high school world history teacher Mr Hack told us that once. Looking back I think he meant it in more than one way. 😉😆 RIP Mr Hack!

  7. Horrible that someone had allowed this to happen in 21 century. Who will stop this russian agression?

    1. @Andy Brian No, it isn’t obvious… since they wouldn’t be doing this without massive help from the West.

  8. This is really sad and devastating. The Russians and the Ukrainians will never find true peace and unity after all this loss. This will take decades to mend. The destroyed cities and lives will never be forgotten.

  9. What is MOST CRITICAL are OFFENSIVE WEAPONS…They need to be able to strike Russian forces 100 – 300 miles or more away.. Not just a few thousand yards away..

  10. Ukrainian members of parliament/MP’s, mayors etc armed and in the action. Leaders leading by example, not fleeing or hiding away in bunkers.

  11. Russia constantly violates the terms of the concluded agreements.  Russia violates the terms of both the agreement on respect for sovereignty, borders and territorial integrity, and the terms of the agreements on the supply of energy!  Russia is a country that violates the treaties concluded with it!  In interaction with the Russians, you can only be sure that the Russians will definitely violate the terms of the contract!
Both the president and other officials of Russia can at one moment assert one thing, and a little later completely refute what they said earlier!
The Russian leadership regularly uses completely false statements to justify their illegal actions!
The Russian leadership also regularly uses blackmail and unconditional ultimatums!
The insidiousness of the Russians also lies in the fact that at first they try to convince their counterparty that they are unconditionally reliable partners tuned for long-term cooperation, however, the Russians can change the conditions for the provision and payment of their services or goods at their own discretion and at any time!
As an example, we can cite agreements on the supply of oil and gas to Europe!
Now Russia is using these treaties as an instrument of pressure on Europe in waging a war to seize Ukraine and other countries in order to deprive Ukraine of any support!
In particular, Germany and other European countries, because of the complete confidence in Russia, found themselves in a very difficult position with gas supplies.  The supply volumes have been greatly reduced, and the prices are now simply cosmic!
As history shows, Russia uses peace negotiations only to regroup its troops in order to prepare new strikes!
So it was before, so it is now!
From all this, the conclusion follows that it is possible to end the war in Ukraine only through the total defeat of the Russian fascist occupation troops!
If Russia can capture Ukraine, then the capture of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and other countries will follow!
Russia will be able to do this very easily, since, most likely, NATO will not interfere with the Russian occupation of these countries, “to prevent a nuclear / third world war!”
To prevent this from happening, it is urgent to provide Ukraine with much more effective defense systems against cruise missiles and high-flying aircraft, anti-ship missiles, tanks and powerful long-range guns!
Ukrainians are now defending not only their homeland, but the whole of Europe from the Russian-fascist invaders!
The Russians have already suffered heavy losses in Ukraine and they do not have enough available troops to continue the offensive, and even because of this they announced a change in the strategy of waging this war!
Therefore, it is urgent to help Ukraine finish off the remnants of the Russian army in Ukraine in order to restore peace and exclude the possibility of Russia attacking other countries!  After seizing the Crimea and parts of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine in 2014, Russia did not stop there, but concentrated even more troops directly near the borders of Ukraine and, without declaring war, began full-scale military operations to seize the entire territory!  Therefore, there is no faith in any agreements with Russia!
Ukraine’s resources are limited, and therefore it cannot wage this war indefinitely!  Russia uses any temporary truce to prepare a new attack, and therefore it is necessary to destroy the enemy now!
Stringers, javelins, Nlaws are great, but in Ukraine now there is not a guerrilla war, but a full-scale war, so the supply of heavy weapons is definitely urgently needed!  A lot of Ukrainians have higher education and know foreign languages, and therefore they quickly and easily master the use of new technology!
Thank you so much for your help so far!  Please help with the supply of heavy weapons needed by Ukraine!

  12. As an overseas viewer I have to say that CNN has more than a brave reporter in Frederik Pleitgen and I know all of you at CNN have had your lives turned upside down and your hearts’ broken and your stomachs’ sickened in reporting on the unbelievable human suffering and slash and burn tactics of Russian modern warfare in the systematic destruction of the Ukraine. Can anyone of us imagine going back home from work and seeing smoke on our street and then seeing our appartment building blown up and blackened and fire blazing out from numerous windows? A hero that no one would have thought could be a hero is emerged in the form of President Zalensky. He will go down in history for refusing a ticket to ride and demanding more ammunition. Soldiers around the world were in awe. Does anyone realize that if Zalensky had took the bait and retreated from Ukraine to a palatial estate in the suburbs of Paris with his pockets filled with dough and his country bowing down to the Russian invaders, the Ukraine would no longer be a country today? We have a real live hero in our midst for the first time since? I think the world owes the CNN team and CNN Contributors a bouquet of thanks for the unrelenting truth all of you try to uncover for us across the world.

  13. Slava Ukraini! 💙💛
You shouldn’t show so much… So now they see where the soldiers keeps their vehicles…

  14. The spirit of the Ukrainian people is absolutely awe inspiring. How they continue to fight while be fired upon. These are civilians! Hats off to the brave people of Ukraine and those who have joined them in their fight for freedom. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
