A lot of the inflation is also because of supply reductions. They were caused by the continual and unnecessary lockdowns. Smart states like Texas and Florida ended their lockdown and mandates early, knowing they would otherwise crash the economy land cause mass inflation because of supply shortages in industries like food production, oil and gas, and housing. Democrats fought for longer and longer lockdowns and further govt payouts, obviously going to cause ever more increasing inflation. In addition policy wise they restricted further the production of oil and gas, making the USA dependent on foreign oil, after Trump policies had made the USA energy independent.
This is further expanded with China policy and China production of American goods and technology. Democrats favorable China policies and investments keep USA production overseas and when supply chain shocks happen supply is further decreased causing increased inflation. Let’s also remember when you allow further millions of illegals into the USA and millions pour over the border illegally they also need to eat and buy fuel, increasing demand for these goods and pricing will increase. All of these issues are because of bad govt and bad Govts policy. But at least their are no mean tweets.
