"House impeachment managers have officially rested their case in Donald Trump's second impeachment trial. MSNBC's Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber recaps their presentation, explaining how they focused on providing evidence that Donald Trump was in on the attack – before, during, and after – cutting against any defense that things got out of hand and Trump opposed what his supporters did. 1. The power of the case means nothing because it is based on facts. Republicans represent voters who reject facts, reject the idea that government can do anything right, and reject accountability for arbitrary crimes. Whatever happens, this isn’t going to be solved with one trial. Those voters will still be there demanding representation. It will take decades of effort to push the republican rot out of politics by assuring rural voters that government can and should function. But, many hands make light work..

    1. These Republican senators must pay for this behavior @ the voting booth in 2022 & 2024 ! Please guys don’t forget these senators the next time you vote, Drain & purge the swamp!

    2. 25 to 30 years of rush, fox disinformation. It is the planted seed and they now sit in seats of authority in the halls of congress, governor’s mansions, state legislatures, they are dangerous to us and our families.

  2. Falling on deaf, cowardly ears, sadly. This is the new America I guess, do as you please, President Biden! There’s no rules anymore!

    2. Biden would still play by the rules because he has what Trump and the Reps don’t have…. Integrity… Integrity and faith that the American system that our forefathers layed out for us can and will still work, and must be upheld. Regardless of this vote.

    3. @Karasene 13 I hope he makes Hunter Chief of Staff, or any position for that matter. You don’t think that would bother them, do you?

  3. Hillary Clinton was brave enough to appear before the US House Committee on Benghazi, yet Trump is too cowardly to appear at his second impeachment trial. It shows you who the real leader is as opposed to the real loser.

    1. Its called not guilty why should he show up and Hillary knew she was getting off because she was covered by the left and big money. Keep spreading lie’s. Hillary should have be sent away for life and Biden to with his son.

    2. @Dwayne Mullinix OK, let me explain something to you, I know the American education system isn’t all that great.
The left are Progressives, liberals and Democrats ARE NOT THE LEFT. liberals have Conservative and libertarian views, they don’t lean left AT ALL..
I’ll use simplier terms.. Liberals, they are center right along with Democrats believe that capitalism just needs a little tweeking to and it will work for them just fine. We on the LEFT, AKA Progressives believe capitalism needs a lot of work in order to work for ALL of us. We on the left wouldn’t touch Hillary with a 30ft pole.. If you’re going to make crap up at least get the wording right in the rest of your statement.. Btw, our own military persons that were there said it was not her fault, it was their immediate chain of command. You can actually look up on here, Interview with Benghazi military groups on faults and you can hear for yourself that they lay out what happened and who was at fault..

    1. @Steam fish White rice he won’t make it. He has secret service all around him. Even if he declines them, he is under investigation.

    2. Watch! He won’t see a hand cuff or a steel bar. 40% of the population want to see him walk, and their representatives are right there advocating for them.

    3. @Scott O’Keeffe you should really look into all of the investigations into Trump. Maybe see what happens once Biden’s Attorney General gets sworn in.

    4. now that the stupidest thing i ever heard of Biden has done so much evil and getting away with it Trump did nothing and treated like a criminal. Like get our facts straight

    1. To argue with a man who has renounced the use and authority of reason, and whose philosophy consists in holding humanity in contempt, is like administering medicine to the dead, or endeavoring to convert an atheist by scripture. _Thomas Paine_
The Republican Party along with majority of their voters

    1. @Guy North Trump was too busy being offended at losing, & glee at his Republican team lynch mob, to actually do more than call Georgia to extort votes. He denied repeated withering begged requests for the National Guard, while good people were in danger of losing their lives. He is every definition of the word, loser. That we still have ANYONE who can’t see him clearly, is a blindness that is willful disregard.

    2. The gallows in front of the Capitol and the mob yelling “hang Mike Pence” is disgusting.

History will tell you that the closest followers of an autocrat have a very high chance of getting murdered, turned against, until firm power is established. To instill fear, create chaos, test loyalities, replace the individual with a more radical ones etc. Individuals are just pawns in the game of autocrats.

    3. @Angael Tartar Rose sorry Trump never lost the election no matter how many times you say it. Election fraud and there overwhelming evidence it just everything’s being covered up. By the new world order Biden and company

  4. Ari’s correct, it isn’t about party- they tried to OVERTHROW the government!!
This isn’t some legalese argument, it’s simple- IMPEACH TRUMP

  5. Trump was too giddy with excitement as he watched the Capitol insurrection unfold on TV to help stop it, advisors told The Washington Post. Former aides to Trump told CNN that Trump enjoyed watching his supporters assault the US Capitol in the final days of his presidency.

Several lawmakers trapped in the Capitol during the siege told The Post that they tried reaching out to Trump for help but that their calls went unanswered. Lindsey Graham said he had to call Ivanka Trump when the president failed to pick up the phone.

As the violence unfolded, Republicans and Democrats alike pleaded with Trump to intervene – to call on his supporters to stop. For hours, however, he remained silent, consumed by the spectacle of his followers wearing Trump hats and waving Trump flags as they stormed the Capitol.

Republican Sen. Ben Sasse said that he heard from senior White House officials that President Trump was “delighted” to hear that his supporters were breaking into the Capitol building.

“As this was unfolding on television, Donald Trump was walking around the White House confused about why other people on his team weren’t as excited as he was as you had rioters pushing against Capitol Police trying to get into the building,” Sasse told conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt in an interview. “That was happening. He was delighted.”

Aides told The Post they were surprised by Trump’s unwillingness to take action as events were unfolding. White House staff members alerted Trump to the events at the Capitol at about 2 p.m. but rather than urge his followers to remain calm he took the opportunity to send out a tweet expressing his disappointment with his own Vice President Mike Pence, who had to flee for his life.

    1. And Trump went back to the White House, not down Pennsylvania Avenue, watching the horrific scene and laughing at them.

  6. It’s good that some people are seeing what used to be the Republican Party for what they are now and they’re talking about it on air. More of this please.

    1. Billionaire Elon Musk and Pitbull said covid is a h-0-a-x to bring in communism/fascism. Watch Pitbull’s discussion of this on YouTube.

    2. You got to be idiots to listen to either one dems or rep bipartisan? No Bi-polar to give one an ounce of energy to the dog and pony show..45 will not be impeached there are not enough votes……

  7. Take down the names of every Republican in Congress who refuses to impeach their Wanna be Dictator. Come the Mid Terms, get out your checkbooks and donate to their opponents. Even if they don’t live in your state. Enough is enough.

  8. Trump and his circle was definitely informed, involved, and incited the resurrection Jan 6th. Sadly, GOP is afraid of trump supporters and personal repercussions to their career, lives, family.

    1. They’re called cowards. The same law and order party that killed a cop and rioted at the Capitol. The same law and order party who looked the other way while Cadet Bone Spurs pardoned criminal after criminal, including a drunk buffoon who exploited the stupid to fund a yacht. The same pro military party that let a draft dodger besmirch the sacrifice of a prisoner of war. And now the cowards who outnumbered Capitol police don’t have the courage of their convictions and are begging for a pardon or blaming their cult leader for their own actions. Cowards. That’s today’s GOP. They’ll worship their guns and in their small packs threaten the defenseless, but match them up with equal firepower, and these cowards do what they always do and what Bone Spurs did: hide.

  9. Unfortunately, the republican senators have no backbone, no conscience, no integrity. They will acquit trump.

  10. After the attack DJT issued a Tweet: “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long.” This proves he intended the insurrection and is unrepentant for the deaths, injuries and damage he caused. He should be tried together with the other insurrectionist in federal court, charged with seditious conspiracy, insurrection, conspiracy against rights, violation of civil liberties under color of law and felony murder pursuant to: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2385 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2384 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2383 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/241 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/242 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/610 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/595 https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=(title:52%20section:10307%20edition:prelim) https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=(title:52%20section:20511%20edition:prelim) https://www.justia.com/criminal/offenses/homicide/felony-murder/ . Once convicted for insurrection, the 14th Amendment automatically applies: https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/amendment-14/section-3/
