I’m frustrated because I only stopped wearing a mask bc they said that the vaccinated don’t spread covid. The delta variant was already out when they said vaccinated people dont spread the virus. I wish they had waited until studies were completed on the delta variant before relaxing regulations.
Science is always going to be the philosophy of learning as we go…it is not always predictable, but the virus will continue mutating as long as people refuse vaccinations or preventative measures to stop it!

I thought it was obvious what they were doing, they were giving people a break while it was safe to do so.
We do that all the time in Australia, we wipe out covid, remove the masks & enjoy normal life until the next quarantine breach re-imports it again. People happily wear the masks when told to, cause we know it’s for health reasons not control or whatever, seemed obvious to me that the CDC was trying to copy.
Wasn’t anything wrong with taking them off when they said that, not like you were going to stop delta! In fact, it was better to speed up it’s progress, cause you do NOT want it hitting in winter, hitting mid-summer is the best possible outcome, so that’s what the CDC tried to make happen

All you need is 1-6 weeks & then borders kept closed – as long as you act early enough, the longer you wait, the harder it is & with delta it seems it may reach the point of no longer being possible to stop through any level of lockdown that is practical to carry out, as it still spreads by walking past a staff member at a supermarket & from there infects huge numbers of people that then go into that supermarket, including essential workers

Those that have a healthy respiratory system are equal to those that have taken both shots bc NOW the effectiveness against the delta variant has dropped down to a 40% to 45 % effective rate against the delta variant and will continue to become even less effective as months go by.. Soon, all vaccinated ppl will go back to the status of a nonvaccinated person by early next year…if not before bc the effectiveness of their shots in 2021 will no longer be effective against the delta variant. But, the doctors are holding this information to keep the ppl calm. Let’s see how long they wait to tell us the truth.

@Josie B protection from death & hospitalisation does appear more enduring than protection from infection though (which is what you’re talking about as being below 50% within 7 months of the second shot). Still WAY more effective than a cloth mask though

If they had been contestants on the former guy’s television show, they would have been “fired”. There is plenty of evidence that the government has been moving with extreme caution regarding both masks and vaccinations. Community compliance is necessary in order to get control of Covid and it’s current variations.
