His attitude makes it clear that he’s confident that Iran will soon have nuclear weapons and that, combined, with the missiles to deliver them to anywhere in Europe will be all the leverage he needs to deal with the West.

There were two different pots. One was their money that we had frozen after the revolution, and the other was money we owed them for a airplane deal that fell through. The reason we had to send cash is because we have no banking communication with them.
