@Muddy Water It’s not just the Europeans. All democracies are on notice to ensure that they have enough checks and balances to avoid the circus created by trump. Throughout 2020 the statement “at least we aren’t in America” was a common one in Australia. Many Australians are politically aware and most Australians call a spade a spade. We do not worship politicians as their positions are the result of our votes and so our voting process is straightforward and consistent throughout the nation. They work for us. If the politicians are seen to be pushing falsehoods, both the media and the public call them out. It is based on facts, not labels such as “socialist” “communist”, “conservative,” “left”, etc. Currently we have a conservative government, but there are several other parties vying for our votes in the next election. We look at their policies and plans to achieve goals, not empty promises and false illusions.
