I think it should be a simple computer formula that cuts grid lines across each state evenly, and the number of “cubes” match the number of Congress members that state has. I know that will probably never happen in my lifetime. But truth be told, gerrymandering is primarily a Republican weapon, and has only gotten worse over the last 30-40 years, as they’ve considered it one of their biggest tools for rigging elections and packing the house in their favor, even when their party represents a substantial minority of actual voters in a given state overall. I still don’t understand how partisans are permitted to draw arbitrary lines to “pick” their voters and purposefully disadvantage the other party. In modern times, this has been aided by supercomputers running AI software to produce the most advantageous outcomes possible for the Republicans. It’s sick.
