  1. 13 week extension is done at the end of June.

    • Christine King | June 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM | Reply

People in my home state of Idaho have been out of work for 11 weeks and still have yet to receive their unemployment checks!

    • @Christine King Wow!

Demos will need to look for work, FINALLY!

    • Christine King | June 5, 2020 at 6:31 PM | Reply

@thom wessels Hey, genius, Idaho isn’t exactly crawling with Democrats. Indeed, the folks in the blue states are the ones who pay taxes that go to red states. Ever hear of welfare ranchers? Yes, we have our very own Bundy, lucky us. Ammon is one of those who has so much time on their hands they dress up in camo, grab their big guns and attend peaceful rallies to demonstrate that COVID-19 is yet another “guvmint hoax”.

@Christine King Meh. Who cares about Idaho though?
      Population is what, 1450 people?

  2. Admiration and appreciate you Sr. Chuck Schumer.

@Susan Tash they did start the process, but when piglosi walked in with an 1,800 page book full of demands they said no…. I dont know why both sides cant come together and just vote on a stimulus for us… both sides playing politics… stop only blaming the Republicans when the Democrats and just as guilty

  3. Let’s be reminded that this number comes from Mr 18000’s administration. It’s hard to believe this is consistent with 43M filing for unemployment. Did Trump’s crooked tax attorney do the calculation?

  4. Laura Zaboraski | June 5, 2020 at 1:37 PM | Reply

GOP won’t give another stimulus. After giving the huge tax break to the rich without considering the deficit they’re suddenly concerned with giving the people a break. Preposterous as usual. Vote out all republicans up for re-election in November and let the democrats fix the mess this administration has made.

    • @Plant en isøkse i nakken på en panser TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN COUNTRY FIRST…..HONG KONG HAS BEEN IN THE SAME SITUATION FOR YEARS…THEY NEED TO HELP THEMSELVES LIKE WE ARE……WE ARE NOT THE F…WORLD POLICE…..TAKE SOME OF OURS..THEY DO SUCH A GOOD JOB….

The job numbers make no sense. We lost 42mil jobs, that’s from the jobless claims. In order for us to have a 2.5mil surplus, we would need to get back 20 million jobs in half a month. Does this make sense to anyone? I would like to see a careful breakdown of this because things are literally not adding up.

    • I assume it’s just the restaurants and bars reopening. All the waiters and bartenders sat home for two months. Now some have been called back to work, so there’s an apparent gain of jobs from the lowest point. This isn’t necessarily a good thing if areas reopened too early and the virus isn’t under control. It doesn’t mean things won’t shut down again, or that the businesses involved will get enough customers to justify staying open.

    • C.J. DrakVolken | June 5, 2020 at 4:38 PM | Reply

Maruka1 Ok, that at least makes sense. But 20 million, is there that many restaurant jobs lost?

    • Karen Schumer | June 5, 2020 at 5:03 PM | Reply

      trump lies about everything

    • @C.J. DrakVolken The didn’t make up the 20 million jobs that were lost in April. The just started counting from where they were at the end of April, and the number went up by 2.5 million in May. So it doesn’t mean the problem is solved. It means 1/8th of the problem is solved for now.

    • Not only that businesses are only allowed to open up no more than 50% before the lockdown not all those 40m jobs will come back more like 20m if we are lucky.

@Victor Mason You realize that the Democrats, when KKK was founded, were the Republican party… and Republicans were Democrats, right? The parties swapped values much later.

    • You’ll be drowning in liberal tears this November. I can’t wait to see the meltdowns. No one knows how to lose it like a lib.

    • Plant en isøkse i nakken på en panser | June 5, 2020 at 3:28 PM | Reply

You should never trust Trump, since he is a true fascist, and you should never trust the child molester democrats, since they’re true communists. There is no win in taking communism over fascism or the opposite. Both are evil ideologies, which have been proven by history.

42.5 unemployed minus 2.5 million still leaves 40 million unemployed and those are just the ones that filed!

  10. We need another stimulus now

    • Karen Schumer | June 5, 2020 at 5:00 PM | Reply

I am running out of money and need to pay by bills. GOP gave the rich a trillion and a half, plus the tax breaks. No money left for us po folks.

    • @ bread2568 I truly don’t think we will ever see another stimulus check, unless Biden wins the White House in November 2020. The Senate Republicans are just going to keep dilly dallying around until the end of the summer, and then it will be time for fall to roll around and schools to restart.

    • @Patricia facts but the unemployed will not pay rent..the owner will not get paid they cannot evict everyone this is the fall of the Republicans if they dont do this now…they will NEVER GET VOTED IN AGAIN BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY…THE WORLD IS LISTENING

The numbers don’t add-up. 42 Million filed for unemployment and the economy added 2.5 million. More lies from the Trump Administration.

And who wanted to lock down the entire country because of COVID?
And look how it magically disappeared from the lugenpresse as soon as the deranged left started rioting!

    • @Sampiro Locke why don’t you go hide in the bunker with bunker boy. Because you will belive everything he says.

    • sabine reynaud | June 5, 2020 at 4:13 PM | Reply

People did go back to work as businesses are opening up, that is where those jobs come from. They are not new jobs.

    • Sampiro Locke I‘m honestly appalled that no one cares about Covid-19 anymore. Because those mass demonstrations will drive a second wave, just wait two weeks!

    • @Max Zöch Brutality and Murder by cop is way more SCARIER than Covid 19. So that protest is worth getting sick over just to stop cops from brutalizing and murdering us. You may not see it because politicians like bunker boy got you brainwashed to the core.

numbers have been fudged….. more lies from the liar in chief

  14. GoT fan 2320 | June 5, 2020 at 4:00 PM | Reply

I am very confused. How can we claim that there are 2.5 million new jobs, when more that 40 million people have filed for unemployment. and millions more are being paid to stay home with PPP loans?

  15. What a surprise, Democrats push for social welfare bills (that Republicans do not want) and when they are successful, Republicans take the credit.

    • n. p. The bail out went to the corporations and the rich. All I see is the elites feeding at the trough. No credit in that.

    • This is the example why the Democrats need to retake the senate and presidency, the republiCONs are the ones who are killing this countries economy in both soul and life.
