@Daryl Saunders that’s what they said about Chris Christie in 2012 and by the time he ran, nobody cared. We had 4 years of Trump as president, 4 years of him as a former president – people will be exhausted and it makes no sense to complain about a 79 year old president to replace him with someone who will be the same age.
Also, the only reason why the establishment got along with Trump is because they thought he would serve a second term – that leverage no longer exists and he’s running to be a lame duck.

Given how the US is controlled by corporations, how politicians are bought, and how the lower class workers are being exploited, he’s not necessarily wrong in that the US is a banana republic.
