  1. We need to remove all of them and enforce term limits. They don’t represent the people they only represent themselves and filling their own pockets.

    1. It’s not the terms it is the American people re-electing the same problem over and over again if you want change, it is up to the people to say we are sick and tired of being sick and tired. That is the way and the only way things will change it is up to the American people to finally say we are sick and tired of being sick and tired.

    2. Agree. In her country of birth, she couldn’t speak her mind. She can do it here in the US. “Election has consequences” – Obama. Ilhan Omar should swallow the defeat the move on. About 9/11 she said, “some people did something.” I am a lifelong Democrat. but her comments, as a US congresswoman, buffled me. “somepeople did something” on 9/11? Really?

  2. Talks about democracy being important then gets mad when the democratic process doesn’t go her way….right. we need term limits on all of them.

  3. THEY NEED TO LEAVE HER ALONE AND STOP BADGERING HER. SHE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE IN CONGRESS. SHE IS AN AMERICAN. SHE’S MORE OF AN AMERICAN THAN THE PEOPLE THAT STORMED THE CAPITOL ON JAN. 6. LEAVE HER THE HELL ALONE!!!!!!

  4. It’s fine, when the GOP loses again in two years, she’ll get her committee seat back. The GOP is more concerned about stupid, political stunts versus helping the American people. The GOP won’t be in power within the house for too long because they have the wrong priorities in mind.

  5. Any ethical reason given to remove her loses credibility coming from the same man who assigned George Santos committee positions.

    1. @grant McCarthy chose to assign Santos. That’s the crux of the argument. Stop your whataboutism. This isn’t a my side vs your side thing…you’re just clearly wrong about the context of the OP’s comment.

    2. @Jen Kem Again – you clearly need to learn the definition of whatboutism. And no, Im not wrong. Try again. Santos is not on a Congressional committee.

    3. @grant ” Santos is not on a Congressional committee.”
Again, that’s not the point idiot. McCarthy assigned him knowing what he is and is now trying to remove Omar regardless of the fact she’s done nothing wrong other than being Muslim/black/female/democrat/all of the above.

    4. @Jen Kem that absolutely IS the point. That point invalidates the original comment. Try again. Idiot 🤦🏻‍♂️

  6. I listened to the whole thing this morning, and there is no question Omar is a bigot. Recall her statements since 2012, including “its all about the Benjamins”. She even yelled at the end of her speech that her mission was to help the under-represented and poor throughout the world, which is NOT the mission of the foreign affairs committee. That committee is to “oversee legislation regarding the impact of national security developments on foreign policy; war powers, treaties, executive agreements, and military deployments abroad; foreign assistance; arms control; international economic policy; and other matters.” Omar would do better on a world hunger committee or some such.

Finally, shame on the Democrats who applauded her speech. Recall that Pelosi and House Democrat leadership rebuked her last fall. Suddenly they love her? It takes two wings for the eagle to fly. Would you really want a one-party system in this country?

    1. @Russ White why was he offered these seats in the first place given all They now know about him. You’re putting lipstick on a pig my friend.

    2. “Election has consequences” – Obama. Ilhan Omar should swallow the defeat the move on. About 9/11 she said, “some people did something.” I am a lifelong Democrat. but her comments, as a US congresswoman, buffled me. “somepeople did something” on 9/11? Really?

    1. @SCPython She meant that 19 people did it and maybe 50 planned and paid for it and USA right away blamed 1.8 billion people for it,.

And she was right. 19 Saudi Arabians did it. Other Saudi Arabians paid for it. And promptly you took it out on……. Afghanistan.

    2. @VSchneidermann Look, “something happened that day” is deeply disrespectful to the people killed in NYC, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, and their family members. Not only that, Ilhan Omar made well documented anti-semitic comments. She also said, “it’s all about Benjamins”, “US military is equal to Hamas and Taliban”, – even former Democratic Chair said her comments were wrong. She never said Anti-semitism is wrong, rather doubled down. I believe such a person should not serve in US foreign affairs committee.

  7. She’s being called a “rabid” anti Semitic for bringing valid criticism against Israel’s war crimes and current apartheid state.

And on top of that has had to deal with disgusting, vile, rumors like she married her brother to get a green card. Hypocrisy at its finest from republicans again who have members who have said openly antisemitic things and have positions.

    1. She went to Pak Occupied Kashmir & stood in support of Islamic terror groups who organized genocide of Kashmiri Hindus She refused to condemn genocide of Armenian Christians by Ottaman Empire

  8. Hang on, please wait…just one minute. Okay, never mind… I though for a moment there that I believed something she was saying. But how do you believe someone who married her own brother, to circumvent US immigration laws? Isn’t it interesting how he kept saying she was the voice and advocate for people all over the world…except Americans?
