I use to live in Lakewood CO. and I loved it there. The Aurora movie theater was my movie theater. I was heart broken when I heard about the shooting that happened their. It happened only months after a moved from Colorado.
No one ever thinks it’s going to happen to them or their loved ones. I’m sure the parents of the children of Sandy Hook and Parkland never thought it would happen to their kids.
Mental illness and easy to get assault rifles are as prevalent in America as McDonald’s and Stabuck’s locations.

The gun index was up 2.75 which is the average after a mass shooting and the model used spikes the most as sales increase in fear of a ban, so stock prices reflect it. I called ACLU and asked them to file for all gains over .1% per child be paid to the parents instead of to mitch to keep the blood money flowing. Earning money from killing children is GOP’s default position. Poisoning kids is their thing, too…see Flint, MI, and the 1926 global ban on white lead signed by all western countries except America, when it was discovered to cause brain damage in embryos. Carter signed it in 1979 and violent crime has fallen ever since. Lead makes people stupid and violent. 53 years of dumbing down the voters paid off as the lead lobby put most of it in Democrat’s urban scapes and Dixiecrats who are now GOP MAGA hatters. Americans are dumber than Canadians and New Zealanders who signed the ban. Switzerland signed it, has as many guns per capita, but no mass shootings or insurrections. Morticians’ Lives Matter to the GOP.
This was a terrible thing to have happen, but there were 10 people killed… Nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car accidents each year. That means, on average, auto accidents cause 3,287 deaths per day. (Source: NHTSB) I’m certain that there are children killed in those accidents and their parents grieve also. And there are 3200% more people dying needlessly every day, but nobody is calling to ban cars.

Guns are necessary to those who own them and use them for self defense or property protection.
The thing is, the communists in D.C. can’t implement their totalitarian regime until the public is disarmed. They don’t fear a bunch of people with cars starting a revolution.
Tax free muskets could even be the basis of a high school competition for each state to enter a wheel lock, or match lock, or flintlock made in their wood shop and metal shop with the school’s logo and the winner of each 6 categories, 3 muskets in long rifle and pistol versions, could be adopted by a manufacturer for commercial run for the next year until the next competition. Shooting range contests would be a part, too. Timing and accuracy for each 6 models tested between each states’ high school teams. Then the winners would go national between other states and restore 2nd amendment guns to their intended place and leave AR-15s on the battlefields.
