no matter how many deaths the gun supporters will find an excuse to justify having guns.

    • LAURENCE WEEET | March 23, 2021 at 5:18 PM | Reply

what has Biden and any test got to do with the numbers of gun shot deaths in the US?
what has god or moses got to do with the number of deaths or Biden`s well being?
very weird comment on your part.

Did the gun rights supporters shoot up the store? There’s no excuse needed, the 2nd A trumps your fear and desire to disarm people for “safety”. The US gov has been spending taxpayer money on global wars and death for decades yet you think citizens being allowed to own semi-autos is the problem? There’s no scope of view with you clowns.

@Puppets4sale typical trumpist gun toting response, just look at the stats and ask yourself why the usa has such a high mortality rate when it comes to gunshot deaths.
its the so called law abiding citizen that is the most culpable which is a statistic that gun lobbyists choose to ignore.

That “excuse” is the United States constitution. Google it

    • LAURENCE WEEET | March 24, 2021 at 2:14 PM | Reply

@ralph petterson ok I will google it whilst you try to understand the ramifications inherent and what was intended for a previous age.
It`s no longer fit for purpose.
over 45000 gunshot deaths for 2020 support the rational for tighter restrictive controls.
it`s all ok and gung ho until it affects those who spout the second amendment.
20000 homicides,24000 suicides and only 1004 police shootings bear out the reasons for another amendment.

Kind of disappointing that it took a pandemic to stop America’s addiction for mass shootings.

  4. I use to live in Lakewood CO. and I loved it there. The Aurora movie theater was my movie theater. I was heart broken when I heard about the shooting that happened their. It happened only months after a moved from Colorado.

No one ever thinks it’s going to happen to them or their loved ones. I’m sure the parents of the children of Sandy Hook and Parkland never thought it would happen to their kids.

    • Mental illness and easy to get assault rifles are as prevalent in America as McDonald’s and Stabuck’s locations.

Sorry you had to go through those events. Much love and support, fam. 🙏

    • RGR “Earned” a 3.99% gain in their stock at the close of afterhours trading on Feb 14th, 2018. RGR, or Sturm Ruger & Co. got.285% per child murdered at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High. and no dividends to the parents. I assigned no value to the teachers…FL is a GOP state. The gun index was up 2.75 which is the average after a mass shooting and the model used spikes the most as sales increase in fear of a ban, so stock prices reflect it. I called ACLU and asked them to file for all gains over .1% per child be paid to the parents instead of to mitch to keep the blood money flowing. Earning money from killing children is GOP’s default position. Poisoning kids is their thing, too…see Flint, MI, and the 1926 global ban on white lead signed by all western countries except America, when it was discovered to cause brain damage in embryos. Carter signed it in 1979 and violent crime has fallen ever since. Lead makes people stupid and violent. 53 years of dumbing down the voters paid off as the lead lobby put most of it in Democrat’s urban scapes and Dixiecrats who are now GOP MAGA hatters. Americans are dumber than Canadians and New Zealanders who signed the ban. Switzerland signed it, has as many guns per capita, but no mass shootings or insurrections. Morticians’ Lives Matter to the GOP.

    • This was a terrible thing to have happen, but there were 10 people killed… Nearly 1.25 million people are killed in car accidents each year. That means, on average, auto accidents cause 3,287 deaths per day. (Source: NHTSB) I’m certain that there are children killed in those accidents and their parents grieve also. And there are 3200% more people dying needlessly every day, but nobody is calling to ban cars.
      “That’s because cars are necessary”
Guns are necessary to those who own them and use them for self defense or property protection.
The thing is, the communists in D.C. can’t implement their totalitarian regime until the public is disarmed. They don’t fear a bunch of people with cars starting a revolution.

    • Tax free muskets could even be the basis of a high school competition for each state to enter a wheel lock, or match lock, or flintlock made in their wood shop and metal shop with the school’s logo and the winner of each 6 categories, 3 muskets in long rifle and pistol versions, could be adopted by a manufacturer for commercial run for the next year until the next competition. Shooting range contests would be a part, too. Timing and accuracy for each 6 models tested between each states’ high school teams. Then the winners would go national between other states and restore 2nd amendment guns to their intended place and leave AR-15s on the battlefields.

American has needed common sense gun regulations for YEARS .

    “Epidemic in America called guns”
Blaming guns will get you unelected as it is not congruent with the truth.
This is the strongest argument against guns 🔫… we are able to acquire guns when we are healthy of mind and judgement… but 10 years later through mental illness or an accident when not sound of mind and having access… can become a nightmare… Is congruent.
Personally I approve of our rights to own guns.

  7. Americans love their guns more than their kids.

This sounds like hyperbole, but I’m afraid it is true.
Calling school shootings false flags has convinced me you are probably correct.

    • I know I’m right. No other country has that death rate from gun violence none. If it was happening in another country America would call up the UN and plan a peace keeping invasion.

    • @Errol 0007 move out if you don’t like it

    • Yeah, offcourse. Dodge a bullet much easier than dealing with the problem eh ?

  8. The murderer in Colorado literally bought a Ruger 556 within days after a judge lifted Boulder’s ban on semi-automatic pistols and 10+ capacity mags. But I’m sure that was only a coincidence, right gun-loving nutjobs. 🤔🙄😅

  9. What Cruz cares about? He doesn’t care about people, remember his last vacation schedule? Ok! That’s
    What he is!.

I guess Republicans are fine with people dying

    • Yup and Seeing more Gun violence happening around the U.S.A and I’m a teenager in high school that’s going to in person school and hearing about the two shootings that happened one in Atlanta and one in Colorado makes me terrified to go in My high school. 😰

    • Says the party of high crime inner cities. Go peddle your fake outrage on Grinder.

The Dems need to emphasize ‘We are NOT taking your guns, we are proposing a few controls to prevent the nutters having assault weapons.’

The best way to make gun control bipartisan is to pass a federal law stating guns are valid forms of voter ID.

  15. The “epidemic” only exists in Durbin’s mind. Gun control punishes law-abiding citizens for what lunatics do.

  16. Antony Bellingham | March 24, 2021 at 12:03 AM | Reply

And here we go again. Question will always be “How many more Americans have to die before…”. Here’s you answer LOTS because nothing will get done to change gun laws.

  17. THIS IS TO MSNBC YOU NEED TO ASK SEN DURBEN IF UNIVERSAL
BACKGROUND CHECKS WORK WHY IS ILLINOIS HAVING A GUN PROBLEM
ILLINOIS HAS UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

“… ‘Epidemic’ Of (Trumpian) Gun Violence …” reminds us, yet again, that #Jan621 Insurrectionist #DJT is “utterly incompetent” as per the words of both his own Federal Judge elder-sister Maryanne Trump Barry and his own Clinical Psychologist niece Dr. Mary Trump. May #Imp2POTUS45 always hear “You’re fired” via the unwavering reality of election results that reject him who is the cause of #MourningInAmerica.

  19. The most dangerous places in America, are democrat gun free zones.
