Three students and three staff members were killed after a shooter opened fire at a small private Christian elementary school in Nashville early Monday, a hospital official said.

Officers engaged and killed the shooter at the Covenant School, Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron said. The shooter was a 28-year-old Nashville resident, police said.

(The original headline and description of this video included incorrect information provided by Nashville police during an earlier press conference. Police on Monday afternoon said that the shooter was a transgender man. Officials had initially misidentified the gender of the shooter.)

  1. Why do they have to say assault styled rifles? Is it too a piece some narrative

    They’re just rifles

    1. @Kyle Richardson it tells me something when somebody is using emotionally biased wording instead of just playing facts. I just want the facts man just the facts

    2. @Brian Kepner oh for sure but see us strong minded people who can handle the truth/facts have to suffer for the people who can’t handle it because of their sensitive hearts and minds

    3. @Brian Kepner Children were murdered by a crazed man and you’re worried about how the officers are describing the weapons used to gun them down? Priorities…

  2. Another perfect reason why guns should not be allowed on people and schools need better security!

  3. I am so sorry and praying for those injured and all those families. It’s horrible and heartbreaking. God Bless them all.
