  1. Abbott is just trying to change the subject from the power grid and the inability of Texas republicans to govern competently. : )

    1. @Ace Brockton Well I’m glad you’re not buying it because I’m not selling anything. So I guess were even. Have a good day, stay healthy stay safe.

    2. @T D plus the wind turbines in Wisconsin & North Dakota were working just fine through similar conditions! Texas chose cheaper & inferior turbines (to save $s) & look what happened. 60+ lives lost, & extensive damage to property – apart from all the misery. It’s not renewables per second, it’s the engineering that needs to be right – & penny-pinching idiots need to be removed!

    3. @T. R. Campbell you’re adorable melting down over people’s replies, but I noticed you ran away from me flake…😂😂😂

    4. Lol, he couldn’t do a more back asswards job if he tried.
This tactic, like his ridiculous lawsuits against other states and apparent total lack of concern about a failing power grid, is doomed to fail. I feel sorry for the people who are stuck there and didn’t elect the fool.

He clearly has no shame, a democrat freshman congresswoman, made a total fool out of him and that other cretin cruz, but did that wake them up? Nope, business as stupid as usual. Another failed day at the failed office.

    1. @Mike Ditka NY and Illinois don’t have their power plants freezing and killing power to tens of millions. How about Kansas and Oklahoma who had to beg Obama to save them after the Kochs libertarian experiment failed miserably?

    2. Interesting coincidence. Apparently the first CDC national mass vaccination program was initiated in 1976 after an alleged swine flu outbreak at Fort Dix.
Guess who else was #$%+ around with swine flu at around the same time and made the headlines? https://www.uky.edu/~rmfarl2/cubabio1.htm
“CIA Link to Cuban Pig Virus Reported,” reprinted from Newsday in San Francisco Chronicle, Jan. 10, 1977. Six weeks later an outbreak of the disease forced the slaughter of 500,000 pigs to prevent a nationwide animal epidemic.
A U.S. intelligence source told Newsday last week he was given the virus in a sealed, unmarked container at a U.S. Army base and CIA training ground in the Panama Canal Zone, with instructions to turn it over to the anti-Castro group.

    3. @Mike Ditka : How is the 5th largest economy in the world, CA, failing? The Virus stats are high in the Republican rich Southern CA. I think that says a lot. We have also been THE most populous state since since the 1960’s And “call some place paradise and kiss it goodbye”. It’s so expensive here because people want to be here. Now you are against the free market? Godless Bolshevik!!!

  2. silly question? Can a state impeach a governor? If so, maybe Texas might want to consider that as your governor doesn’t act in your best interest or do much to help you when your state is in crisis.

    1. @Mary Ann M impeach and recall are two different things, nice try on an attempt to sound smart though, and in Texas a governor can only be impeached he can not be recalled.

    2. @Jesus Chrysler You don’t need to be critical. You have the correct answer, just share it instead of trying to dump on Mary Ann. Show some class.

    1. @Kevin Maguire Nursing home deaths are more than 1/3rd of the total. The states with the highest share of nursing home deaths are Or., N.D., Minn., Pa.,N.H., Maine. Tragedy all around. We really blew it as a country.

    2. @Craig Norris No trump supporters do not wear masks and real republicans do not wear masks. That is the reason for Trump he supported freedom.

  3. dumb. just plain dumb. they’ve just screwed up multiple times this year, and you do this?! especially in a state where Spring Breakers will be going to party and take the virus home?!!

    1. Too many idiots still think the whole pandemic is a hoax. They have little understanding of how viruses replicated and mutate.

  4. Texas is a nationwide embarrassment and to make matter worse they have the likes of Cancun Cruz . SAD

    1. @AlwaysA Solution Don’t know if you are bring sarcastic, but the cost of living, job opportunities, and it is pretty much open for business, and I am only speaking of Houston, that’s where I live.

    2. Lol, the governor made sure he completed the vaccine doses for himself before ridding of the mask mandate.

    3. Getting my first shot this weekend before this mess. Biden opened vaccines for teachers through CVS. Driving 5 hours to get it. No help from Abbott who crapped on his teachers through the pandemic. So many of us got sick. Fortunately I didn’t. Still wearing my mask.

  5. Sounds like he’s trying to boost his support after the botched response and inaction after the winter storm. People disapproved of him and now he thinks doing this will turn that around

  6. Texas has bred some of the stupidest people. Like Ted Cruz” Lt Gov Patrick. And Greg Abbot. Go to Mexico

    1. @Guy North He never lived here, his mother is American and his father was a Cuban asylum seeker. He was raised in the US.
      And it shows.
      No offense.

  7. As if Abbott hasn’t done enough damage – and there is ONLY one solution: 🌟🌟 BETO for GOVERNOR -2022 🌟🌟

  8. I always thought Florida was the “arm pit” of the universe but apparently it’s now Texas…. that government hates its people.

  9. The man is a fool, trying to destroy his own state. Him and Ted Cruz need to take a permanent vacation is Cancun.

  10. At least he confirmed that it was his decision in writing. Should be helpful in future class action.
