    1. Exactly. It’s on them now. 300k soldiers with cutting edge equipment vs a bunch of guerillas. If they lose, it’s on them

    1. It was never viable when our major ally in the Mid East Savdi Arebia is the ideological, material and financial supporter of the very enemy we are supposed to be fighting in Afghanistan

    2. @Stuffstuffington Stuff you on the right never take responsibility for your actions and all you do is complain. At least the left is trying to make the world a better place. We even got rid of cuomo. When has your side ever gotten rid of a bad politician? The left is trying to improve the lives of all americans even if we have some bad selfish apples in there. Your party is a lost cause. Theyre trying to get rid of democracy and give all the wealth to the upper class

    3. @Prof. Scheere Prof your stuck in the 90’s. Your party IS the corporate oligarch party, but you only watch/listen/read propaganda media. Please tell me what the Dems have done to make America better and I will tell you what the real motives were. You think it’s like an old western we’re you wear the white hat and I wear the black hat. Get real and pull your head out of the hole it is planted in.

As for Cuomo, forgive me if I don’t fall down praising your moral action. Where was the outrage a year ago, a decade ago? You were a Cuomo sexual a year and giving the guy awards while he was killing elderly people and groping women. You couldn’t give the guy enough Emmys and awards when he was ripping on Trump. Why didn’t you get rid of him for killing and covering up all those Covid deaths?

You are pathetic and ignorant and thank God people realize just how big a fraud the media and Professors like you are. Keep shilling your hate, violence and anti-American propaganda while you play on your iPhone sipping That $7 Starbucks. Fraud.

  1. When I was in Iraq and we’d move into a village where we had a secure situation and could speak with the people and give things to the children like candy, bottled water, soccer balls, etc I’d always see the little boys kind of horde everything and take things away from the little girls. Since the boys seemed in many instances to pretty much idolize us I would always get the children together and return everything to the little girls that had been taken from them and then pull the boys to the side and give them a talk about chivalry, and try to teach them that they should treasure the little girls, to protect them, to include them, to treat each and every one of them like a princess. I know that it made an impression and an impact. I hope that it made more of an impact even than I thought at the time. I hope that it was a lasting one. But….back under Taliban rule….I fear so much for the lives of all the women and the little girls in Afghanistan so much more than anyone or anything else. They deserve so very much more and so very much better than what will be their lot. It breaks my heart. They deserve, honestly, the protection to lead their lives fully that we as a nation promised them.

    1. Mingling with kids is how you got them blown up. They don’t have all the protective equipment and the armored vehicles. After the bomb goes off, you whine about the trauma of seeing children’s body parts raining from the sky…

Also, wokeness is one reason they hate us. We are not just promoting kindness to females (an age-old principle explicit in the Bible), we are promoting deviant “woke” garbage, and they see it coming.

    2. when my son was there…& he got to speak to local folks…& gave a local kid some candy…some skittles,to be exact…he got to come back the next day & see that kid murdered…for taking that candy.

no mother should ever have to hear her son tell her this story. no son should ever need to tell his mother this story. no mother should ever have to lose her child for taking candy from a foreign soldier…

make of this what u will…

should we ever have been there?.? should we have done better there?.? FOR WHAT?!?

    1. Yes, sadly like all wars post-Korea there exists a corporate profit incentive (defense contractors {tax-payer money}), lithium, opium, mineral ore, crude oil, etc. But the U.S. also sent troops in in order to help stabilize a region that would’ve otherwise fallen into the hands of radical religious extremists. The U.S. should’ve strategized smarter to assimilate Western concepts of inter-cultural tolerence, education, tech, ethics and political integrity. Unfortunately, the U.S. milltary isn’t trained beyond their combatant-intel training roles; thus, we failed them.

Mark my words, in under 5 years we’re gonna see another Iran seeking nuclear-threat capability that will align themselves with hostile authoritarian regimes.

That’s not good for anyone on the planet.

    2. @omi god You’re right in your analysis. My point is that these decisions aren’t made in a vacuum. The politicians don’t make any decisions without involvement from the defense contractors and other financial interests, especially since wars are financed.

The bottom line is that US military adventures are never benevolent and the stated goals are never what they appear to be on the surface.

    1. Problem is, middle easterners don’t want what we’re smoking. They and others can see the “woke” agenda on the horizon, they want none of it. They are resisting our attempt to force wokeness on the rest of the world.

  2. That guy straight up said, “This is about rare earth minerals; lithium.” (oops, you forgot to say it was for freedom and not to make a few Americans richer.)

    1. Plenty of rare earth minerals in Australia. We are only too happy to supply our American buddies. No Taliban in Australia.

  3. “This is not abandonment” – State Department spokesmodel.
If it isn’t, sir – then what do you call it?

    1. @PRAISE GOD trump made that deal and the Afghan ppl are paying for it ! But boooo on Biden for keeping the deal!

    2. @Winston Smith you’re an embarrassing person. Calling people Russian trolls because they call out the State Department’s lies.

    3. **GEORGE BUSH SENT OUR TROOPS IN…. AND DON TRUMP,, ORDERED THE WITHDRAWAL!!!! YOU CAN’T BLAME THIS ON DEMOCRATS!!!!!!**

    4. @John Edward Obama withdrew our troops from Iraq and Biden from Afghanistan.
I can ABSOLUTELY blame this on democrats. I can do whatever I want.
You gonna stop me, little boy??

    1. **IT WAS TRUMP,,,, WHO ORDERED ALL AMERICAN TROOPS OUT OF AFGHANISTAN!!!!! STOP WITH YOUR PROPAGANDA!!!! AND IT WAS GEORGE BUSH WHO SENT OUR TROOPS IN!!!! REMEMBER?? **

    2. @John Edward It’s democrap party leader Joe Biden who’s to blame for Afghanistan mess! IMPEACH!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. There’s a part of me that thinks back to Rwanda when the international community sent their forces in only to evacuate their embassies in Kigali before the slaughter…. Very sad tragedy happening….

    1. **EVERY TIME AMERICA PROPS UP,, AN UNPOPULAR GOVERNMENT,,,, IT COLLAPSES WHEN WE LEAVE!!!! REMEMBER IT WAS REPUBLICANS WHO SENT TROOPS IN,,,, AND IT WAS DONALD TRUMP,, WHO ORDERED THE WITHDRAWAL!!!! THIS WAS PREDICTABLE!!!!**

  5. The Trools on YT are screaming how the Afghan ppl LOVE the Taliban , well if they love them then why are so many trying to flee the nation

    1. oh that’s very easy to answer; some of those people aided and abetted NATO. therefore they’re afraid their heads will be cut off so they’re trying to exfil asap.

  6. When people don’t want to rise up and fight the evil dictators taking over their own country, they get what they deserve.

And I’m not talking about Afghanistan…

  7. Yet another US overseas engagement failure! 20 years, thousands of lives lost, and billions of taxpayerswasted!!! We have NOTHING to show for it!! SHAME!

  8. Joe, you make a very compelling case. There is, in my opinion, an equal and opposite case to be made as well. Maybe we havent completely learned the answer yet. Maybe it shifts.
The winds of war ..may or may not determine the answers.

  9. I think everyone of us that was there training the local populous always knew deep down they didn’t have the heart to fight. You had the onesie’s and twosie’s of hardened dudes but we all KNEW.
