The Bye Line: Lets “Get To Work” And Join The Fight To Protect Voting Rights
It’ll go in one ear and put the other. All we can really do is vote them out. The path the Republican Party are taking is dangerous. They want power and they want to control us. They can’t handle the change in this country so they’re desperate and it shows.
Pass the “For The People Act,” H.R. 1 is a bill in the United States Congress to expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics, ban partisan gerrymandering, and create new ethics rules for federal officeholders.

Read the constitution. And, some federal code.

@Sarah F. 4.2: Money can be withheld for “non-compliance”, yes. But no State has refused to comply with any federal program here. They are passing their OWN laws that so far no court has declared unconstitutional or in violation of federal law.
And the way you worded it (“ALL federal money”) is definitely illegal. The people who reside in those States pay taxes to the federal government and are therefore entitled to the apportionment of any such tax revenue.
@Reason President Biden is no amateur. Legal action with the federal budget can and does happen. He will leverage the power of the federal purse strings.
States don’t have unlimited rights. As these states allow their constituents to die, federal action will happen.
They don’t want to be a part of the United States?
Then so be it. Let them eat covid.
We are a nation. It’s not about individual states during this national emergency. One state’s malfeasance will harm other states. People are dying. These Republican governors need to get with it or be sanctioned.

Republicans are continuing the coup that Trump started by putting in place these restrictive voting laws. It’s imperative that the For The People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act be put in place to protect our rights to vote. The Supreme Court has failed to uphold the voting rights to ALL Americans that is guaranteed under the Constitution.
