The Bye Line: Lets “Get To Work” And Join The Fight To Protect Voting Rights

  1. It’ll go in one ear and put the other. All we can really do is vote them out. The path the Republican Party are taking is dangerous. They want power and they want to control us. They can’t handle the change in this country so they’re desperate and it shows.

  2. Pass the “For The People Act,” H.R. 1 is a bill in the United States Congress to expand voting rights, change campaign finance laws to reduce the influence of money in politics, ban partisan gerrymandering, and create new ethics rules for federal officeholders.

    1. @Reason federal money for states is contingent upon following federal laws.
Read the constitution. And, some federal code.

    2. @Daddy Rabbit no. We should withhold federal aid money for covid relief. If insurrectionist states won’t mask and get vaccinated, their problem. My tax money doesn’t need to be wasted on unemployment for states that can’t get with it.

    3. @Sarah F. 4.2 you mean for speaking the truth? You act so hard online little female but you know face to face you’d be taught a lesson. Play the victim little wimp.

    4. @Sarah F. 4.2: Money can be withheld for “non-compliance”, yes. But no State has refused to comply with any federal program here. They are passing their OWN laws that so far no court has declared unconstitutional or in violation of federal law.
And the way you worded it (“ALL federal money”) is definitely illegal. The people who reside in those States pay taxes to the federal government and are therefore entitled to the apportionment of any such tax revenue.

    5. @Reason President Biden is no amateur. Legal action with the federal budget can and does happen. He will leverage the power of the federal purse strings.
States don’t have unlimited rights. As these states allow their constituents to die, federal action will happen.
They don’t want to be a part of the United States?
Then so be it. Let them eat covid.
We are a nation. It’s not about individual states during this national emergency. One state’s malfeasance will harm other states. People are dying. These Republican governors need to get with it or be sanctioned.

  3. we need to stop letting the far right in the US define themselves as the only ones who are passionate about America.

    1. @PugglesMcWardog go look in the mirror hypocrite. January 6 alone is one of the most extreme events in US history and that was all Republicans. Who are now attempting another way to seize power by denying the vote to as many sane people as possible.

    2. @Doug Coombes 6 January was with 500 people. That’s 0.0000014% of the pop . It was such a small little thing but you liberals are acting like huge coward victims. It’s hilariously pathetic

    3. Well, it’s the democrats who are attacking people’s patriotism with all these russia smears. And it’s democrats who have been wishing death upon people who are scared of the vaccination. I say we give everyone on the far right and everyone on the far left a shiv and lock them into a giant Colosseum together and give this country back to average americans.

  4. Republicans are continuing the coup that Trump started by putting in place these restrictive voting laws. It’s imperative that the For The People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act be put in place to protect our rights to vote. The Supreme Court has failed to uphold the voting rights to ALL Americans that is guaranteed under the Constitution.

  5. Demcrats need to come together to stop voter integrity laws or they may never win another election unless some kind of manufactured crisis allows them to circumvent said laws like in 2020.

  6. It’s a power play by the dems to get as many votes as possible so they can pass their radical agenda

  7. The justice department under trump said the election was free and fair and members of trump administration said the best election but why sperm court judges can support the suppression of some Americans
