    1. The question baffling the world isn’t why we left Afghanistan, but rather why we did so in the most incompetent and disastrous way possible. The Biden administration is a joke.

    2. @Brian Nave

Like all previous wars, this too was a GOPi “War for Profit”. They invested American Taxapayers $$ in it, tried to Loot and Plunder Afghans for 20 years, failed at it and at the end, left the sitting President with no Choice but to leave.

    3. @Brian Nave Your magat trump only talked a big talk and your previous repub presidents didn’t do anything but got us into this mess. So there are no elegant way to withdraw. If you’re so smart, why don’t you do something about it??

    1. @Poecilia Latipinna Hmmm the Taliban didn’t come around until 1996. Nice try. So the past 20 years we’ve been LEADING the taliban? You are a special kind of special. Screw that country.

    2. The question baffling the world isn’t why we left Afghanistan, but rather why we did so in the most incompetent and disastrous way possible. The Biden administration is a joke.

    1. @Thomas Krohn Without knowing their names, I think the warlords, including the former Afghan president got a lot of themoney.

    2. @Oscar Ballard Biden promised back in July 8 that the troop pullout wouldn’t be like Vietnam, well it’s just another Democrat F-up, always to be expected

    3. He left the country with plane load of money. Still more left inside his car. All former… govt officials safely ensconced in US or other countries other than inside their own country pleading once again to clean up their mess. After 20 years, countless our men lives lost not tho mention $$$.. the answer is resounding..NO!!!

  1. I´m sorry, but if a country after 20 years of help from the whole world (and countless billions in support) still can´t build an army to hold back an enemy for less than 1 week, then they have to figure it out for them selfs.

    1. @MAIASweden *- 80% of Voters Polled, now Blame Biden for High Inflation, High Crime, and Millions of illiterate Freeloaders entering the country illegally.*

    2. @Rocket Power That is why USA People say we stayed way to long…Bush F…Jr. should have pulled USA out before he left offfice…8 years was to long also….President Biden is cleaning up after TWO REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS…ENOUGH IS ENOUGH….NOW REPUBLICANS SAY PRESIDENT BIDEN JUST DESTROYED HIS LEGACY….F….THE REPUBLICANS….VOTE EVERY LAST GOPSOB OUT OF OFFICE…RIH/DJT…

    3. @Keith Johnson – Shelby GT500 What are you talking about? America doesn’t win anymore..Thanks Biden? Dump set up the withdrawl, Bush Jr. set up the 20 year War….All I EVER READ FROM YOUR COMMENTS IS HOW BAD USA IS….PRESIDENT BIDEN IS THE GREATEST PRESIDENT, USA HAS HAD IN DECADES…PRESIDENT OBAMA WOULD HAVE BEEN A TOP PRESIDENT, BUT HE WAS SHACKLED BY THE REPUBLICANS….THE REPUBLICANS ARE FINISHED…DEMOCRATS ARE TIRED OF CLEANING UP THEIR MESSES….AND GETTING THE BLAME FOR THEM….RIH/DJT…

    4. @Keith Johnson – Shelby GT500 NO NO NO, THAT MIGHT BE 80% OF 24% REGISTERED VOTER….THAT IS ALL THE REPUBLICANS THERE IS…..

    5. The question baffling the world isn’t why we left Afghanistan, but rather why we did so in the most incompetent and disastrous way possible. The Biden administration is a joke.

  2. This is 2 decades of USA support,,,,,, the people of Afghanistan are to blame no one else so stop making accusations and pointing fingers only blame the Afghanistan people no one is responsible for this country but the people whom are from this country

  3. Is it even possible for a country to be overthrown this quickly and it not be an inside job? It seems like there’s many more failures not being talked about.

    1. Inside job with respect to the Afghan troops not being paid in months bc the govt officials were keeping their wages. What does that do to morale and the will to fight? The corruption of the Afghan leaders is the main blame and even after 20 years, the Pentagon had NO solution to that so we have their army surrendering faster than you can say, “I’m with the Taliban.”

    2. Yeah you don’t take a capital in a day unless there is a tremendous amount of looking the other way and deal making.

    3. Taliban were negotiating for months prior to coming into Kabul. Not one single shots fired? Guess Who gets to keep all the $$$ equipments and weapons??
Corruption cannot be fixed with good intentions… I say this with heavy heart, but we cannot take in all those people with their extremities. So stop saying women & children and start to hunt down your corrupted leaders tho get money back to fix Your problems

  4. We owe them ? They have been training them to defend there county for 20 years and they didn’t fight for it they threw up there hands . What are we supposed to do spend 20 more years babysitting them ? It’s on them not America .

  5. Your people can’t stand up for them selves we spent 20 yr. and lost many young men we owe you nothing we lost enough fight for your own country.

  6. Ask her…20 years we tried to help your country and they didn’t fight for themselves! Your government didn’t support your people! This isn’t Americans problem!!!

  7. She was betrayed by the Afghani defense force not the US. The US gave them the training and the weapons, yet they put up little resistance to a much smaller force.

    1. @Archie Clements Putting aside the insanity of that claim, they could just use all the ammo Don the Con gave them, dude.
Just another deranged comment coming from new born baby troll account, just weeks old.

  8. What happened to the money, military, training the USA spent over n Afghanistan?
The Afghanistan soilders just dropped their weapons. Talk about a waste of money, time and our wounded and dead brave soilders

  9. Was she expecting the US military to occupy their country for the next century? She should be astounded that even tho the Pentagon spent more than $88B to train Afghan forces, they are folding faster than a cheap suit. Astounded that the local Afghans will NOT fight to defend the regime in Kabul.

  10. I don’t feel that the former ambassador should be so self righteous. She’s sitting safely in Washington DC . What should have her own government do more to protect her country & people?!

    1. I can see you have never been there! Their gov’t only had control over the main cities like Kabul! The mullahs, tribal elders, warlords and the Tban controlled everything else! Keep in mind they never had a standing military until we showed up! It’s more complicated than a small minded american citizen could comprehend, do some research before speaking.

    2. @wreck tailgunner it’s true I’ve never been to Kabul. Although I travelled extensively throughout the world.

So I do not know much about it except that they are a tribal nation with tribal leaders and factions. Therefore, many dissension and most likely very difficult to unify. And so with their belief system.. the US with all the experts in the world cannot truly decipher Afghanis and very difficult to firm one nation under one leader as in Democracy. We have good intentions as well as monetary profits in helping over there. But ultimately if the people aren’t willing and as corrupted as the leaders are, we cannot win. As said 20 years and our tax $$$ 2 trillions..we’ve done the best US knows how.
