Inside job with respect to the Afghan troops not being paid in months bc the govt officials were keeping their wages. What does that do to morale and the will to fight? The corruption of the Afghan leaders is the main blame and even after 20 years, the Pentagon had NO solution to that so we have their army surrendering faster than you can say, “I’m with the Taliban.”

@wreck tailgunner it’s true I’ve never been to Kabul. Although I travelled extensively throughout the world.
So I do not know much about it except that they are a tribal nation with tribal leaders and factions. Therefore, many dissension and most likely very difficult to unify. And so with their belief system.. the US with all the experts in the world cannot truly decipher Afghanis and very difficult to firm one nation under one leader as in Democracy. We have good intentions as well as monetary profits in helping over there. But ultimately if the people aren’t willing and as corrupted as the leaders are, we cannot win. As said 20 years and our tax $$$ 2 trillions..we’ve done the best US knows how.
How about “what does afghanistan owe america?” A trillion dollars.
