Texas state Representative Ron Reynolds and National Action Network President Reverend Al Sharpton commend the Texas Democrat for pausing the state legislature to lobby for voting rights in Washington, but are disheartened that three state legislatures returned back to Texas and in turn put the state’s voting rights’ catastrophe on the back burner

  1. Money, money, money
    Ain’t so funny
    It’s a rich politicians world
    Money, money, money
    Vote for a dummy
    And watch democracy fall.

  2. “The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them”.

  3. We need the Dems to keep fighting for our ability to vote. What incredible crybabies the Republicans are being. DESPOTS try to have their political opponents arrested, FFS.

    1. They know they cannot continue to win seats if they don’t wonkadoodle the entire elections system in Texas and all over the United States. Attempting to justify their support of ‘’The Big Lie’ and claiming rampant fraud that no one’s-been-able to prove. QTGOP Duh~Publican Qwhackadoodles‼️🇺🇸🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🦇💩🤪

    1. I’m honestly, as an old Texan, surprised that ‘they,’ hadn’t gotten to more of the Democrats then ‘they,’ have way sooner. If we don’t succeed in voters rights protections on the federal level, our unhinged and flawed democracy is headed for a complete nullification.

    2. It’s like they’re saying “We will always stand up and fight for you, unless it’s too hard, takes too much time, or until we get bored and move on to the next talking point.”.

    3. @Suzy Q
Even so, I believe it was likely more complicated than that. I’m sure the WDC hiatus took a great toll on many of them, their families, finances and other jobs standing in addition to possible COVID impacts. These folks earn about 400.00 monthly for their service and I believe I read that donations were covering all their expenses there. Progress wasn’t appearing possible with the Duh-Publicans, Manchin and Sinema blocking the filibuster. We do have a red hot raging COVID nightmare playing out in Texas and possibly their conscientious about that big issue did move the stakes. Abbott and Patrick are psychopathic in just about everything they touch.

    4. @Joni Beehive well said! I appreciate everything these democrats did and continue to do for us in Texas. I support them as much as I could financially. There’s a fund on Brian Tyler Cohen/No Lie program called “Don’t be a Mitch” that people can donate to help the state’s hit hardest with voter suppression bills. Take care and stay safe everyone!

  4. At this rate there won’t be any Republicans left in Texas to vote, if they don’t get vaccinated.

    1. Didn’t six of those Dems get covid after flying on that plane. Sometimes, people like you, sound stupid!

    2. @chris pasco Except they were all fully vaccinated so suffered nothing more than some sniffles.
The brainless sheep in Texas who believe Republican lies and refuse to get vaccinated are dying in record numbers.

  5. Republicans in Texas legislating to set aside the power of the People’s constitutional vote. Sounds like an Autocracy not a Democracy.

  6. If I was politician (may God forbid)… I would work with black people. They are the America we all love and admire

  7. Description says “three state _legislatures_ returned back to Texas” — I think you mean _”legislators”?_

  8. Let us move forward not backward. This country has to hail from the hate and the racism that this country has suffered through these last few years
