    1. @cella : You need to ask yourself why you’re afraid to fact check that. You can read the bill yourself you know. lols
Unless of course you’re just a bigot, and so are naturally delusional and only care about having your bigotry normalized.

    2. @The News In ASL : It’s the republicans who are literally defunding the police now, but not to stop racist violence, they’re defunding the police in certain ways to make the U.S. more susceptible to a coup. They are traitors, and so is anyone who supports them after the 6th made it well beyond obvious.

  1. More than enough money to wage war everywhere but none for America,im noticing a trend here.

    1. @Sherman Dudley my father got out of the army in 1972, and would say this also. Back then vets just suffered in the streets, after getting back.

    2. Yes. That’s why so many of us voted for Bernie. Of course, I’m sure people like you called us russians for doing so…

  2. Republicans ranting about Democrats defunding police while quietly defunding Capitol Police. They’ve learned to project well from their Spray Tan Messiah.

    1. @Princess Lost Ok you named yourself perfectly. All your comments prove you are lost in this conversation.

    2. @PugglesMcWardog I looked up your account which you started om July 3rd and you need to prove you’re not a troll.

    3. @Bill Fuentes yea you are right I am lost as to why they are underfunded but are expanding field offices in CA and FL.

    1. And this is why when their re-election pops up everything needs to be done to get them out of office…and with their pushing against getting their base vaccinated and constant scandals it just makes it so much easier to get them out…

  3. So the GOP does not support Defund the Police but then they do nothing to approve a budget to pay the Capitol Police effectively Defunding the Police.

    1. You can’t be a Republican unless you’re a deep-dish hypocrite – it’s in the bylaws…

    1. Ah yes those dang republicans supporting government authoritarianism by
      **checks notes**

preventing funding of a federal police force

      ???

  4. If they have to furlough officers, that is the biggest sign of disrespect to those people that saved their lives.

    1. Yes, and oh, let’s also take down all the protective fencing right after the DOJ has issues public warnings of ramped up chatter on right-wing channels about planning insurrections and right before the August right-wing QuacksAnon pipe-dream where Trump returns to power. Impeccable timing, no?

    1. small correction. This is the US Capitol Police, not the DC Metropolitan Police.
      They are two separate agencies.
But your thought is a good one. Every Democratic member should always be surrounded by security everywhere they go because of the nutcases in the GQP who have been elected to office.

  5. Maybe start with furloughing security details for senior leadership that don’t want to fund the officers.

    1. @Chris Chris only because you hear the words but are deaf to the concept. Sending a police officer with a gun isn’t always the best response to the situation. Often it escalates the situation. The thought isn’t to pay Police less just to send the properly trained and equipped person to respond to the situation appropriately.

    2. @John Yost Yes, that’s the sentiment protesters have while holding ‘defund the police’ signs and vandalizing small businesses.

    3. YEP!! THEY AREN’T ABOUT LAW AND ORDER NEITHER!! WELL TRUMP HAS CRIMINAL HISTORY WITH LONG LIFE CRIMINAL FRIENDS!! BIDEN DOESN’T HAVE ANY CRIMINAL HISTORY AND WAS OBSERVED TAPED AND FILMED THREW OUT HIS TIME IN GOVERNMENT NO WHISTLE BLOWERS ALERTS ON BIDEN!! HUNTER DIDN’T WORK FOR OUR GOVERNMENT NEVER AND A LAWYER FEES IS HUNTERS BUSINESS NOT AMERICANS!! YES BIDEN BEING VP ALL WAS INVESTIGATED AND NO CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES FOUND ON BIDEN ! REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS PRAISED BIDEN!! BIDEN ADDED MORE POLICE TO DELAWARE !! BIDEN WAS REELECTED OVER AND OVER AGAIN HE PLEASED DELAWARE AND WAS A LONG RUNNING SENATOR FROM POSITIVE WORKS!! TRUMP MADE FAKE COMPUTERS MAKEOVERS ON BIDEN BECAUSE TRUMP HAD NO HONOR TO RUN ON SO TRUMP’S GAME IS TO BELITTLE AND DEGRADE WITH LIES AND DISTRACTIONS!! THEN TRUMP POINTS AND BLAMES OTHERS!! WELL THE SWAMP RAT OF CORRUPTION IS TRUMP!!

    4. @John Clarke yes John it is. Protesters aren’t vandalizing businesses, criminals mixed in with protesters are. Every single one of them should be prosecuted just like the January 6th criminals.

  6. We have plenty of troops stationed around the world, but nothing for America. What happened to America first, Republicans?

    1. Uhm …. The Dems are in control now. Maybe If they Weren’t BuYing Back America’s Vote for 22 and 24 they’d have Some extra Cash.

  7. The GOP’s way of defunding the police and ignoring to recognize their service and dedication.

    1. Umm the dems are calling the shots right now. They have the Senate, house and the white house. The dems are running the show. Anything that happens happens because thats what they want.

    2. @Jake Padgett Because of the filibuster, it’s the GQP senators that are holding up the vote.
You prove why, Donnie love ’em dumb, real dumb.

    3. @Jake Padgett The GOP are BLOCKING it. They voted 100% AGAINST the Rescue Plan, they are against the Infrastructure Plan, against the Family plan. A majority of Republican VOTERS supports those plans, it’s their elected officials in Congress that doesn’t listen to what THEIR constituents want! 79% of the country wanted the Rescue Plan, which INCLUDES Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
Each of President Biden’s individual proposals in the American Rescue Plan ranges 79% support for paid family sick leave through September and helping people who lost their work-based insurance pay their insurance premiums to 78% for $1,400 stimulus checks to 60% for raising the federal minimum wage to $15/hour.

    4. @Jake Padgett Your myopia is showing. There are 2 Democrats that vote with the Republicans and aid intge lack of progress. The “majority” is only there if all the Democrats vote in a block. They do not. Mansion and Sinema often vote with Republicans, thereby causing nothing happening in Congress. It is antidemocratic. It also aids and abetts our sworn enemy, Putin, who would like nothing better than to see democracy implode. Anyone who thinks differently is either a fool, being paid off by Putin, or a Republican (which l believe has been infiltrated by pro Russia sympathizers. I cannot being paranoid, l am being realistic. Our way of life is threatened, and only fools cannot see it.

  8. You just can’t expect unanimous consent from “Republicans,” “A Bad Habit” not to swallow .

  9. I hope there is a civil case against Trump for his insulting and dangerous words regarding the capital police. They deserve the utmost respect.

  10. Just in time for that second insurrection attempt in August like the DHS has been warning about…

  11. So there will be less security when there was clearly not enough during the Trump Riot; and broadcasting this while Trump is still going around lying about the election and making the traitors who attempted the coup seem like righteous warriors. Can’t see this going wrong in any way.
