    1. I don’t know… there are some self defence cases where the victim is charged for defending themselves.

      Maybe repeating violent offenders should get no bail.

    2. Self defence isn’t a crime but you can’t get slapped and then beat the person within an inch of there lives or provoke violence and expect to claim self defence.

    3. @Loni Stepan That’s not self defence then, so what are trying to prove right now?

      And yes, self defence could involve a weapon if you’re disadvantaged in repelling force, as recognized by the *law* .

    1. Self defence is violent but not a crime. We also don’t use cash bail for most offences in Canada.
