The point of joining a political party, supposedly, is that you generally share the same values/vision and can work together to promote them. If the party changes and no longer shares your values, then what’s the point of staying in that party? What is the end goal for staying in a party that works against what you want? For Mitch, is seems he just wants some vague sense of power and winning without any purpose or direction.
