In contrast to some of the windswept new constructions we have seen elsewhere in the Caribbean, which appear to have been thrown up on marshland in the most inhospitable parts of the island, this was a beautiful locale, surely challenging the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala as the most stunning cricket venue in the world. The camera spent as much time lingering over the tree-carpeted mountains and the port of Roseau as it did pointing at the cricket.

GRAYSON SHILLINGFORD DIES

FORMER WINDIES FAST BOWLER SUCCUMBS TO CANCER

ROSEAU, Dominica, Dec 23, 2009 — CMC – Dominica’s former West Indies fast bowler Grayson Shillingford died early Wednesday at age 65.

Shillingford had been ailing for some time with cancer and succumbed to the illness earlier Wednesday morning in Salisbury, located on the island’s west coast.

On Tuesday, September 01, Mr. Richard Frederick, Minister of Physical Development and Housing held a Press Conference to reply to certain statements which I made at a Public Meeting of the Saint Lucia Labour Party on August 27, 2009.  He said that he would ‘bring to light’ the truth.
